Just having trouble getting it uploaded...

Here's just a few ideas I have for this mod for events and stone-specific abilities.

General features:
Allow stones to be housed on inhabited planets with a building or planetary feature
Allow stones to be attached to certain ships, armies, leaders, or stations
Make the stones harder to get than just finding and researching tech

Power Stone:
Ability to crack planets when paired to a general (cracks when he arrives on a planet)
Allow a general to singlehandedly invade planets (maybe like a psionic avatar-type army)
Event where power stone destroys buildings when housed on an inhabited planet
Morag is covered in water so power stone can't be accessed --> have to move stone in a short period of time before Morag is covered again

Space Stone:
Create temporary wormholes when paired with a station
Allow a fleet to use warp drives without a debuff when paired with an admiral
Ability to instantly invade planets from across galaxy when paired with a general
Event where space stone banishes a leader to unsurveyed planet --> can get leader again with survey

Reality Stone:
Ability to shroud planets in darkness (essentially shielding a planet) when paired with an admiral (shrouds when orbital bombardment begins)
Event where reality stone attaches itself to a leader and leader starts rebellion or shrouds a planet
Reality stone doesn't spawn on a planet, but appears randomly within a pop or leader with an event chain to extract the stone

Soul Stone:
Requires a leader sacrifice to acquire
Can resurrect dead leaders

Time Stone:
Allow a leader to be immortal when paired with a leader
Event where planet is stuck in time loop --> no growth or resource production
Time stone starts attached to an ancient pop within a primitive world, have to invade or negotiate to acquire

Mind Stone:
Convert enemy leaders, ships, and armies to friendlies when paired with an admiral,
Event to create a synthetic leader with amazing stats with a chance for a robot uprising to occur Ability to disrupt other stones actions (Vision said something about the Mind stone communicating with the others idk)
Mind stone shows up with a leader (maybe like the Khan) who goes on stone collecting rampage --> midgame crisis operating similar to Khan mechanics except he focuses on attacking empires with stones and has wargoals to sieze stones --> if he succeeds he snaps and stones are shuffled throughout universe

All of these are just ideas, so feel free to pick and choose what you want, adapt how you want, really I'm just putting these ideas out there. I'm really glad you brought this back. This mod is the only reason I still play Stellaris (no other game has an infinity stone mod except gmod) so I really want to thank you for sticking to this mod and actually working on it.

Holy hell, now THAT's a feature suggestion. These are excellent, let me write up a list in response:

Unlikely/Ruled Out
I'll start off with the ones that probably won't or can't happen, and why

General

I considered doing these early on, since they both fit in more closely with how the stones are used in the comics/MCU. But unfortunately, it would absolutely destroy compatibility. As it is, there's always the chance a stray event or effect or user/ai action could delete the stones, which is why the self-repair feature is there. But the odds of an issue raise exponentially when in the context of colonised planets, leaders, stations, etc, who have way, way more things happen to them than empty, uninhabitable planets, and as you add more mods, the chances for error go up even further.

An added issue with housing them on planets is that deposits get treated very weirdly on colonies, and when it happened once (on accident, it spawned on an FE world in testing) it actually broke the CB, wargoal, opinion modifiers and discovery event for that stone.

All of these are ofcourse ruled out since stones will still be exclusive to empty worlds. The core ideas, though are solid, and I very much like the idea of adding requirements to using stones. So while they won't happen as they're written, I can use the concepts behind them (see below).
Some more specific additional issues in that list though:
  • Wormholes are a strange thing, routinely destroying them could cause unexpected issues
  • I'm fairly sure jump drive debuffs are hard-coded, I've never found any reference to being able to change them
  • You can't explicitly "convert" things owned by another country as far as I know, although you could emulate it by killing the unit andcreating an identical one in your empir eI supopse

Power Stone

This would be veryhard to implement for the AI, and a lot of the time it would spawn with an FE anyway, who already control it.

Soul Stone

Can resurrect dead leaders
As far as I know, resurrection is actually not possible, since there's no way to reference a leader upon death, as far as I know. Same goes for pops, ships and whatnot.

Alterations
This might as well be my grand reveal - the update I'm currently working on is a major content release, introducing lots of events which allow you to actively use your stones, so it feels like you're actually controlling them (modifiers are great, but they aren't interactive, and therefore not immersive).

However, trying to come up with enough ideas to make enough events is tough, so your post is a godsend. While I might not implement actually attaching stones to things other than empty worlds, the premise of them can be used in these new events.

Power Stone

Good idea for an event

Space Stone
Originally posted by Gunk Fungler:
Event where space stone banishes a leader to unsurveyed planet
The only issue is that by the point in the game where the player has the Space Stone, they've typically surveyed most accessible systems. But, banishing a leader in some capacity is a good idea

Reality Stone

Again, good event material. Might tie it into the psionic ascension path

Time Stone

Event

Mind Stone

Mind stone shows up with a leader... midgame crisis
Ah yes, the crisis. As I've said in other comments, I would love to introduce a Stone-based crisis. The reason I haven't yet is simply because it's such a massive undertaking, I want to flesh out the mod a little more before I commit to something so vast. However, if I do add a crisis, it's more likely going to be an end-game (pun not intended) crisis, involving a certain Mad Titan and his Children sweeping the galaxy. As always though, I neither confirm nor deny anything. Wink wink

Probable
And finally, the ideas I canmore or less plagiarise from your list.

Stone Usage Requirement
I definitely want to add additional prerequisites to using the stones. The ones I think I could implement without a million bugs:

Originally posted by Gunk Fungler:
Morag is covered in water so power stone can't be accessed --> have to move stone in a short period of time before Morag is covered again
While I won't necessarily limit it to Morag, the idea that the Power Stone would make any planet it is housed on wildly dangerous is good - you need to find a way to safely store the Power Stone before you can use it

Originally posted by Gunk Fungler:

While analysing the stone, a researcher gets infected by the stone, and you have to do something to extract it from them. Extracting it teaches you enough about the stone to control it. Very nice.

Excellent

Power Stone
Originally posted by Gunk Fungler:

The idea of the Power Stone damaging things around it is solid

Time Stone

Nice

Mind Stone

That's true, the Stone repeatedly giveds him warngings about the other stones. Controlling it could allow you to interface with the other ones, finding out where they, if/how they're being used, and as you said even disrupt them.

Could make an event with a 50% chance of the synth being benevolent or malevolent - essentially, you might get Ultron, or you might get Vision

This is an amazing response and I love how engaged you are with this mod. I'll be back with more suggestions after I watch Endgame cause they'll hopefully show more with the stones. Can't wait for the next update!
LysdexicsUntied  [developer] Apr 21, 2019 @ 7:39pm
Thanks. And I fully agree, Endgame will be a gold mine of ideas and functionality to add to the mod. Also for what it's worth, I've already formatted some of your ideas to be included in the mod, probably be available in my next update, although that will probably be stalled until a fair bit after Endgame now so I can include any new ideas in one massive update
LysdexicsUntied  [developer] Apr 22, 2019 @ 7:53am
Actually I just had a thought, I won't release content based on Endgame for a while after the movie releases to ensure I don't spoil anything for anyone. So I will release some content fairly soon, and then wait at least a month after Endgame releases to feature anything in the movie

@Fivealive007 Is there a reason you deleted your comment?
Fivealive007 Apr 30, 2019 @ 3:34pm
Yeah it was basicly me complaining there was no way to find the stones, and then i looked at the special projects tab >_<

However I do think there should be some backlash for using "snap". You just killed half of the galaxy and no body is going to say anything about that?
LysdexicsUntied  [developer] May 1, 2019 @ 12:45am
No worries.

And yes! I fully agree, the Snap is presently the same as when the mod first came out, and the next thing on my to-do list is a major rework to add consequences, benefits and collateral damage to the post-snap era
UltimateSpinDash May 5, 2019 @ 3:45am
Once the next major update for the mod is finished, I'd be willing to translate the mod into German for you.
