Great mod so far. After having played for a bit, I have a suggestion. One thing that always bothered me is how easy it is to outrun animals, either they're far too slow to catch you - which in some cases makes sense, i.e. crabs - or you can animation lock them into combat movement by stopping periodically then running again. Stuff like beak things and dogs/wolves should have combat speed matching their run speed, and if it's possible much faster beak thing attack animations. One shouldn't consider them trivial even to noob characters because one knows the animation lock trick. That trick should not exist for anything other than humanoids who conceivably would change their approach speed to allow for blocking. Also, I once clocked my german shepherd running at about 25 miles an hour along side my quad, and he could have gone faster but I didn't want him to die of heatstroke for reason. Wolves should be a serious threat to new characters and have serious run/combat speed. A naked starving NEET shouldn't be able to dismiss them just by jogging away. Same thing with skimmers. Rock Bottom shouldn't be a quick jaunt to Sho Battai with some skimmers in tow for easy food and a shiny new robot arm right away. It should be terrifying.

These changes would make it much harder to max out stealth by argoing - escaping - stealth following. It would make luring humanoids into animal nests a dangerous proposal indeed. As it stands that's a super easy way to get gear early on without earning it. Beak thing hunter would become something other than a quick way to level and make infinite money. It would require hiring mercenaries to sacrifice just in case, and taken together would make travel as perilous for the PCs as it is for the NPCs. It would make stealing a real risk for noob characters because they can't just flee the town with their magic sandals which make them impervious to all enemies through speed.

LOVE the changes to blunt weapons btw. Always though it was stupid that a small metal pipe took hurculean strength to swing quickly but a two handed katana was practically a light saber. It made leveling strength a nightmare or an endless, pointless grind.

Oh hey I didnt see this comment before, didnt get notified for some reason. Yeah that's not a bad idea, it would need to be balanced a bit since while I do want to make the game harder, I dont want it to be instadeath just because one beak thing catches up to your entire noob group, KOs then then eats the entire group while they re downed. If there was a way to make it so animals would just gnaw off an arm or something then go away then that would make them being faster justified. Need to think on this and analyze the construction set settings more.
