Bugs, errors, other problems
If you encounter any bugs, errors or things that shouldn't be like they are, post a report here. Please describe your problem as good as possible and include a link to a full game log (press ctrl+f12 with hugslib installed to get one). Screenshots may also help a lot, depending on what problem occured.

Please also check the list of known mods that will or may cause problems: https://github.com/Lanilor/Terra-Project/wiki/Mod-compatibility
If you use any mods listed there, deactivate them and try if your problem still happens.

So....pinpointed the issue, sorta. When I'm underground (cave oasis, tunnelworld), all my walls and bridges turn the ground they are placed on to deep water. Then it slowly destroys my walls. Removing the walls shows regular land.

Unfortunatlly I have a plethora of mods. so I was trying to disable ones that directly affect ground/buildings.

@Gaming Partridge: There is an error during map generation which causes a faulty map. I try to find the reason and see if I can fix it.
Also check the list of mod problems I linked in the first post if any if those mods may cause this error. This is likely coming from an incompatibility or a mod adding something unusual to the generation process. At least you should deactivate Simply More Bridges as Terra already contains an improved version of that mod.

@Bonnett88: That sounds like an incompatibility. I remember reading that a mod changes terrain like you described but I don't remember exactly which one. I think it was a bridge mod. Deactivate them if you use any and try again. Otherwise a log may help too in case that this is coming from an error.

@Gaming Partridge: I cannot find a problem in the code from what the error states and generating a map with the same parameters works fine for me. You could try to generate a map in a completely different biome to exclude any problems related to that. Otherwise it could be a follow up problem from one of the errors that happened before. There is one from PrisonLabor which is quite known for causing all kinds of problems, maybe worth a try to deactivate it.

Also running into the "floods whole map" issue, on an Atoll, as well as Mangrove.

Logs: {LINK REMOVED}

I disabled all mods but HugsLib, Mod Manager, and RimHUD just to be certain it wasn't a conflict.

Sorry for the post, i easily found out what was causing such troubles- it was the mod that added Urban biomes. i shouldve checked before making a post , my apologizes.

@123Nick: No problem. That looks indeed really broken, but if it's fine now, ok.

@ZeroStride: Thanks for testing this with almost no mods. It's hard to fix something I cannot test, but I uploaded a new version with changes which may avoid the problem. Please report back if it works now or upload a new log.

i found a minor bug- the overlays for ground moisture, grass, water level, etc- they show the stats of tiles in undiscovered areas of the map, like in a mountain or something similar. https://vgy.me/e7oDTN.jpg

@Lanilor: Looks like a good fix. Tested it with the same 3 mods, and then I re-enabled all the mods I use and it still worked, as well. Cheers!

Edit: One step I omitted (but it probably doesn't matter?) I enabled development mode just to see if I'd get any additional error messages. Tested, it was fine. Disabled, tested, it was fine.

Further-edit: Somehow I've managed to break it again, same "full flooding the map" issue. I'll poke at it and see what I come up with.

Hey, I'm having the same problem as above. When I first loaded into a world with my mods installed I got an evergrowing Horizontal Lines of Deep Water, which first started at the bottom and then to the top until it covered all of the land. After disabling everything but the mod and Hubslib, I got the water sprouting from under stone formations but not walls. I don't get any error messages when starting Rimworld and I've tried this a few times with a small map in various biomes to the same result. Noticing it a bit further, no grass, flowers, or trees spawn Here's the log from after the patch: {LINK REMOVED} and another one: {LINK REMOVED}.

Let me know if I can provide more info!

i noticed a wierd issue, natural stone walls and other walls (like from ancient dangers) seem to be naturally deterioating at -5HP every couple ticks, i think when it rains but im not sure. its quite dangerous when a ancient danger walls collapse and let loose the deadly enemies within at the start of a colony :P

logs: {LINK REMOVED}

heres what one of the ancient dangers look like: https://vgy.me/CkUpMg.png

I'm having the same issue. I'm trying to build in tunnelworld, one a wall is built after a little bit it changes the ground to deepwater, and takes damage.

I'm also seeing all my ground turn damp, shortly after starting. Disabled all mods except this one. Its flooding the map, but since I'm not playing with rivers it is turning all my ground more fertile. Can visibly watch it turn the ground.

@Rosa: Your first log is broken bu the error from the second is a different error than those before. Sadly I have no idea why it breaks: It's a core method erroring on a world generation step I didn't change, but it's unlikely that your core game is broken. You could try steam file verification to be sure.
Otherwise my only idea currently is that it's coming from the planet size. Maybe try different planet sizes and seeds and report if the same problem happens.

@123Nick: I fixed the overlays. It will come with the next patch.
On the new screenshots I see not everything breaking. Are there walls from new mod materials which only break or also vanilla stuff?
Your log also contains errors which look like the mods code got mixed with an old version. Afaik steam should keep this and the old version separated even if they both have the same name because of unique ids, but maybe rimworld fails here. You could try if a redownload of the mod helps and to be save, check to remove or move all old versions of Terra from the games and steams mod folder. These errors may also be the reason for the wall breaking bug.
Lanilor  [developer] Dec 23, 2018 @ 3:09pm
@Bonnett88: That looks like 2 problems mixed up.
- For the first, please upload a log after building a few walls where the ground below them turns to water. A screenshot may also help.
- For the second, can you check if the map was generated with correct elevation data? Activate the elevation overlay in the bottom-right corner and see if everything has correct values or is just flat/uniform.
- "since I'm not playing with rivers it is turning all my ground more fertile." This also sounds werid. Can you explain it in more detail what happens and give screenshots?
