I still remember making custom map gen types and even submitted a few to be added and redid some of the one that existed. You will be missed.

Shame the author decided to bite significantly more than they could ever chew and slapped untested, barely functioning WIP mechanics on the map type&generation mod that was already popular for doing just that.

Coulda made a dev branch if they were so desperate to merge them, or coulda done a better thing yet and made a bunch of separate modules like so many other complex mods, but stepped on a landmine of just doing what was done.

Yeah biomes! is certainly not on the same level as Terra Project...it really is a shame this mod seems to be dead in the water ;w;
thaums Aug 25, 2021 @ 10:38am
I don't think Biomes! is a replacement, since this mod added the ability to settle in an area with multiple biomes as well as flooding and crop irrigation
Church1984 Mar 3, 2021 @ 3:15am
update pls
DeTH Aug 13, 2020 @ 7:09pm

KING OF NOTHING SLAVE TO NO ONE Jun 29, 2020 @ 2:34pm
please update!!!
Ben Apr 27, 2020 @ 7:14pm
I'd recommend checking out the Biomes! mod, it's basically a replacement for this as Lanilor has abandoned the RimWorld modding scene
Mr ONO Apr 15, 2020 @ 9:27am
please update the mod tho so it works for 1.1 its almost like getting an entirely new game with this mod >-<:winter2019happyyul:

Honestly this has forever been the best biomes and terrain generation mod ever in rimworld. its aboslutely amazing. all the possible types of bases ur able to make is stunning. my favorite was finding the coldest area ever on a planet with a cave biome. the start is brutal but if one manages to get inside the mountain caves and block the entrances off and there is a geothermal vent inside heating it up then its an amazing experience to manage a colony like that
NyoNine Mar 30, 2020 @ 12:01pm
Can we get a version of this mod with just the improved map generation?
Seevin Mar 25, 2020 @ 8:26pm
honestly I loved most of the features in this mod but if it's ever updated I think the farming system needs to be reverted to vanilla and water dynamics need to be tweaked to prevent unrealistic flooding
Ronivan Mar 23, 2020 @ 5:06pm
I just hope only the biomes are updated, and leave the rest behind.
fancc Mar 21, 2020 @ 8:56pm
please update!!!
Alex Mar 9, 2020 @ 10:23pm
Flooding hasn't been that much of an issue for me for a while. What I really really wish I could get rid of is the stupid food variety stat. I'm so sick to death of all of my colonists going on shooting sprees and things all the time because their food variety is low. Does anyone know how this can be done? I feel like I have a big variety of food, my colonists eat better than I do.
Boyar Mar 4, 2020 @ 7:55pm
please update!
tanyfilina Feb 28, 2020 @ 2:26am
Could be very great mod if it only were modular. So that people could use their preferrable mods, like Bad Hygiene and RimCuisine without conflicts and doubled features. I personally like even "water" feature, but rooms flooding needs some more work.
Draylynn Feb 23, 2020 @ 1:02pm
Water feature is really spoiling this mod. It causes a ton of lag issues and has no real counter.
Gavitron Feb 21, 2020 @ 11:10pm
Don't bother with this mod, farming is totally broken.
plantman Feb 20, 2020 @ 4:41pm
theres a .19 version that is compatible with 1.0 It only contains the biomes of the mod without all the hassle. been using it for about a year now
Ronivan Feb 16, 2020 @ 2:21pm
Unfortunately I had to give up it, even with the tutorial. I had too many mods with floors and walls, and I believe this mod is not worth the effort. I'll just hope the autor remove this useless, broken water feature in the future, if the mod has any at all.
Ronivan Feb 16, 2020 @ 9:09am
You have my thanks good sir. I was looking at the code from the .dll and its seems messy to remove that stuff without restructuring some modules.
Benz10wheel Feb 15, 2020 @ 9:48pm
If you are willing to tweak some xml number you can solve the water puddle destroying thing stuff
Here is the guide I wrote a while ago

I'll just remove it for my use, not to publish it. This water feature should be an optional addition, not part of the project itself. Its impossible to play with water sprouting out stone floors made under mountains, destroying everything.
Thunder Soul Feb 15, 2020 @ 11:32am
Probably no and probably no. I wish those were definitely no and probably yes but as you can see the author has been on radio silence for a long while now. Since april or may I think? Not the most hopeful of images.
Ronivan Feb 15, 2020 @ 8:49am
So I'm to believe the project is dead? Can I tweak the code a bit then?
Thunder Soul Feb 2, 2020 @ 9:32pm
You do realise that in 21 day the last time this mod was updated will be exactly a year ago, right?
Ronivan Feb 2, 2020 @ 5:46pm
I had to give up your mod. I loved the cavern concept, but the water part is just so horrible, its not worth for the rest. If you are going to improve your mod, please don't go mixing a lot of different things and tie them all together without giving the user a choice to disable them.
Ronivan Feb 2, 2020 @ 5:24pm
May I also mention that my base is under a mountain, over a bedrock of granite. The water just sprouted out of my Metal Sheet flour and destroyed almost my entire fabrication section, without any reason.
Ronivan Feb 2, 2020 @ 5:21pm
Why does your mod makes swamp spawn directly under my base? There is not way to disable this useless feature or just remove the mod?
ganonkiller Jan 30, 2020 @ 4:40pm
yes i hope this keeps going too
oVISOR Jan 29, 2020 @ 7:50pm
one of the most complex and interesting mods. hope it get an update!
Rhakon Jan 28, 2020 @ 7:26am
is there a way to turn of the tides because my boat mod isn't working because of it XD
Dragonfruit Jan 23, 2020 @ 8:31pm
Is there an option to have only the new biomes without everything else?
darthdud0 Jan 18, 2020 @ 6:24am
thanks for telling me.
Thunder Soul Jan 18, 2020 @ 2:36am
Just to the right from the image(s) is the date a worshop item was last updated. No, it's not safe to use yet. In fact it wasn't exactly safe almost a year ago.
darthdud0 Jan 12, 2020 @ 1:16pm
is it safe to use yet? it gives a lot of errors when i start up with it on.
AKSU Jan 7, 2020 @ 5:36pm
Shame that it hasn't been updated for a while, great mod.
Beornvig Jan 6, 2020 @ 6:38pm
@plantman for me the core (b19) version of this mod caused mission maps not to generate some of the time. You would get to a mission location, click on it to go to the map, and it would just be removed from the world map and nothing would generate.
EranDalex Jan 6, 2020 @ 6:00pm
fyi, vanilla fishing expanded does not properly work with the hip-deep water tiles. You can't put a fishing zone in them. Also regular vanilla bridges dont wannt build there either. This fucked up my plans for an underground fishing colony and makes me sad :( pls fix
plantman Jan 6, 2020 @ 5:14pm
for those looking to use the mod without the flooding and farming mechanic, just look up terra project(core). it will show outdated but ive used it for some time now with over 100 mods and it works fine
Reteo Jan 1, 2020 @ 10:34am
It looks like Fluffy's Stuffed Floors suffers the wall-crumbling issue; you will be prevented from building walls on floors, and pre-generated walls will immediately start to crumble. It made for an interesting opening game in a map with two ancient dangers.
CrazyOatmeal Jan 1, 2020 @ 9:14am
Do not use this mod until they remove the flooding feature.
Krajos Dec 18, 2019 @ 2:41pm
I think it is an great mod and hello Water ^^
Remi Dec 14, 2019 @ 10:24am
please make the map gen its own mod, pleeeease
Benz10wheel Dec 10, 2019 @ 4:53am
@Umbra Animo, I just updated my guide "Terra Project Guide to Stop the puddles" to include how to fix bridges from other mods. If you are interested check the link from a few comments below.

For your question about can you have both... yes you can but you'll need to follow my guide. But in my opinion you don't really need Simple bridge mod since Terra Project already have about 3 types of extra bridges.
Benz10wheel Dec 10, 2019 @ 4:39am
I do agree that this mod can be troublesome to many players but I love the feeling of getting my farms running smoothly after solving all those problems. If you look for a mod that enhance the complexity of farming this one is for you...

Also many problem can be solve with patches but I am too lazy to do that instead I wrote simple guide so people can customize and fix the fundamental problems with this mod.

I even managed to make Vegetable Garden's plants to be compatible with this mod after lot of hard works haha.
Sora Hjort Dec 9, 2019 @ 11:55pm
@Umbra Animo This mod conflicts with more bridges, or any mod that adds bridges. This mod's water will literally eat the bridges, not just walls. Regardless if they are modded or vanilla bridges. I would say you're better off without this mod.
Umbra Animo Dec 9, 2019 @ 3:52pm
small queastion
so for mods this is a alternative too or has does the same thing for. aka simply more bridges does it cause problems with them or is it just a case of its not need? aka can I have both or should I remove one of the mods?
