Archelon: passive tame, just feed it bio toxin. if the archelon gets hit by ANYTHING it will entirely restart the tame. Watch out for xiphactinus as they target these guys. You can aggro them and lead them on land to trap them and tame them easier. after they are tamed they only eat bio toxin and kibble.
Brachiosaurus: Exceptional kibble. Aggro the creature until it stands on its hind legs and shoot them in the back feet with a firearm. Crossbows will not work. Once you shoot it enough in the hind legs it will fall over and you can tame as normal.
Concavenator: Superior kibble. you need explosives to knock out this creature. the easiest method is to place C4 on the ground in a large pile and blow it out of the ground. any explosions dealt to the creature while it is in the ground should raise its topor. After it is unconcious tame as normal. narcotics can work, but are far more likely to kill it than explosives.
Cryolophosaurus: Exceptional kibble. When its shooting its ice breath at you you have to shoot it in the mouth. an ascendant sniper rifle takes around 5 shots to work. After you shoot it enough it will freeze itself over. while it is frozen you can feed it kibble. Trapping this creature will not work. it will lose aggro and never shoot its ice breath. This is in my opinion the hardest tame in the mod, so be prepared for a frustrating tame.
Deinosuchus: Superior Kibble. while this creature doesn't have aggro it will bask in the sunlight with its jaw wide open. You have to sneak up to it, and feed it while its jaw is open without it seeing you. I recommend using a ghillie suit, running up, feeding it, then retreating again immediately. Repeat until tamed.
Xyphactinus: Superior kibble. Just shoot the bugger full of narcotics and feed like normal. Don't try to tame these buggers on the beach because they are liable to suffocate.
Any questions just ask. :)
tranquilizers have no effect on it. Normal bullets work because it is a masochist and likes to be shot. :) Other than that I don't know why the creator designed it that way, its just the way it is.
Also they are super weak i see a level 40 bear killing a level 150 Acrocanthosaurus very easy.
Can't you just make the tame normal, this new way is super boring and the dinos are way to weak to be worth it.
the spyglass doesn't show the correct amount. you can easily tame a max level with just one stack of narcotics on you.
That direbear must have been in a blindspot because Acros easily shred anything that is smaller then them.
A Tamed Acro with a saddle is anything but weak.. They can handle far more punishment especially if you adrenaline mode them and they absolutely destroy smaller creatures.
Acro's are super strong, They're worth it I spent 4 hours (it was bugged) trying to tame a level 102 and haven't regret anything.
