I vote for Dakotaraptorl since the Raptor already in the game is actually Utahraptor. Currently this mod conflicts with the new vanilla update. It will turn your official vanilla Deinonychus into the modded deinonychus.

I've actually found that this one replaces the new one. If I have this mod active the new one won't spawn, and when I spawned one in by hand this deinonychus replaced the new one when I logged out and then back in.

For everyone wondering, on discord he said the new addition deinonychus will be the nyctoraptor (so there would be no conflict with the ark dev deinonychus). It would be like an early game megalosaurus, a night predator. Be cautious, as the name tag will be changed it will remove all the current ark addition deinonychus (wild or tamed).

That being said, although AA Deinonychus remains my own, I dont want 2 Deinonychus in the game, and this gives me the chance to rework the current role AA Deinonychus serves. I've had a few ideas, and I think this is the route im going to go with it:
-Deinonychus will be renamed to Nyctoraptor. Until then, Im going to refer to it as AA Raptor for simplicity.
-AA Raptor will be reworked to act as a sort of Megalosaurus Raptor and early game night vision. AA Raptor will get a minor buff in the night hours, and will have a passive night vision effect for riders. Due to them being reworked for night effectiveness/stealthiness, the pack bonus may prove too strong and may be removed.
-AA Raptor will be given an ability to crouch and prepare for ambush, and running from this state will grant a significant boost to speed and damage briefly. Ideally, this will also be given to wild AI raptors, making them incredibly threatening at night to unsuspecting survivors. Any damage to them while theyre in this state will take them out of it, as they would no longer be hidden.
--Whether the leaping attack will stay or not is currently undecided.
IMPORTANT When this rename happens, it WILL remove ALL existing Deinonychus. Since the character_BP name is going to be changed to avoid conflict with the official dino. There is nothing I can do to avoid this. I apologize for the inconvenience this will bring, hence me warning you all now

I'm ok with this. Also kinda looking forward to it. I make sure to get a flyer as soon as I can anyway so if I have to go anywhere at night I make sure to fly lol XD

With the news that the modded deinonychus will be removed, I'm going to miss my Razz. A bright red Deinonychus I tamed on my server and became the alpha of his pack. Any notable Deinoncychus tames you're going to miss?
