Total War: SHOGUN 2

Total War: SHOGUN 2

Expanded Japan (97 new regions, 101 new factions, 22 playable factions)
Increasing Compatibility
If you haveing errors getting this mod to work with other mods, I found a big way to help. Download PFM, pack file manger.

Latest version as of this post http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?680538-PFM-3-5-0-Attila-support

Once you have it installed, open up expanded.pack in your C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Total War SHOGUN 2\data file. Once open, go to post proceses to the right of files, and click minimize DB files. I advise doing this twice. Once done your error may gete removed. If you still have issues, you can remove the battleterian subsection of the mod with PFM without issue. If you have issues after that, start cross refrecing your mods that you know are refusing to work together to find lines that modify the same item, pick the one your want the most, and delet the line with the delete key in the other. It must be the same item, like 2 mods changing how much food a level 1 farm produces.

For the curious, the reason this increases compatabilty is because the mod creater did not minimuze the db fils. It removes all lines from the mod that were not changed by the modder, making ti where other mods can change those files with them yelling at each other. It will also make the file a lot smaller. Enjoy!

I made the DB tables using Tweak, which produces the full DB table. I did this because I made a lot of changes to the default DB tables, such as changing all the stats of vanilla units, and in some cases I had to make new versions of the vanilla buildings and units because my changes kept getting overwritten by the default files.

By contrast most modders make copies of the DB tables, make a few changes to these tables, then delete the vanilla entries. This makes them more compatable but it only works for small changes.
