Which file holds the progress?
Which file holds the progress you've made, like the shards, playthroughs, etc etc.
I'd like to make a backup of that.

Save info is stored in the default server database that GMod provides, which is at GarrysMod/garrysmod/sv.db

I have your answer. Been rallying with a ton of different friends, some switching computers, it unfortunately does not. You'll have to transfer it over manually. Thankfully it does just accept it as long as it doesn't see the sv.db file as corrupt.
