Server damage

i have made a server for me and my friends to play on, i like to prank them as a dino, (attacking to scare them) but the damage is just to darn high! (500 something percent for level 1). but when i play on single player it's fine! if anyone knows how to fix this please tell me.

That might depend on the server settings too. What creatures were you using?
