Should i buy Attila just for this mod ?
I've played any other TW games but i never really wanna touch attila, but this mod makes me reconsider things. Thoughts?

I have most total war games but i held back on buying Atilla for a long time due to not knowing much about the time period. This mod is actually the reason i finally decided to buy the game and i have 0 regrets and have even played Atilla a lot without mods and it is now one of my favorite total war titles. :) sorry about my grammar.

I'd say no. The mod is fine but everything feels like a placeholder. Every unit is the same with no variation stat wise (each has it's own model so they are great, but the stats make them the same). Every cav is a shock cav, and ranged units have the attack stats of melee units so you can't reliably send your men to fight them because they can hold their ground a bit too well, spear is just superior to every other melee unit, and AI isn't good enough to hire anything other than levies

No,this mod needs some work its hilarious though when knights get dog pilled by some peasant archers in melee though however.

Hey, so I have seen you have not bought the game yet. Please do not purchase it just for this mod. It LOOKS really good, I agree, and the setting is very fun. But it is not yet fleshed out - the campaign framework is there but economy and unit balance is just... non-existant. I dont know how fast the update cycle is with this mod but maybe give it another year or so.

Not until its full release.
Id buy Attila for Attila TBH. Ive played since the first Medieval and this is by far my favorite. This ones actually challenging and goes way beyond build up, create death stacks, and dominate. The WRE campaign is by far the best in pretty much any TW game. It really broke the whole start small and immediately snowball into an unstoppable force loop. Maybe its overplaying but every other TW game feels just way too easy. Rome 2 felt like an auto-resolve simulator to me. Beyond that no one ever declares war on you. it gets really boring basically just steamrolling anything in your path. The time period is increadibly interesting as well. Basically youre trying to survive the early dark ages which was more or less a classical era apocalypse. Probably the only TW game that pushed me to play realistically or die.

Yes, you should. I did. This mod convinced me to finally switch from Medieval II.

Game crashes all the time. Not worth buying Attila just for this MOD. It doesn't work.

Mod is barely functional as it is, don't bother until the mod devs bother fixing their mod.

I'd say not yet. It has an absurd amount of potential, but it is still in an alpha-esque status at the moment.
If it delivers on everything that it intends to do, it will be a 100% a mod worth buying the game for, but if you did it now I think you would be disappointed.

i would say yes , not only for the mod but also there is ancient empires which brings rome 2 to atilla , its imo by far the best total war game to date in terms of versatility and mods , i have over 3000 hours on this game so my comment is coming from a place of knowledge , atilla itself is a brilliant game and with some mods and reshades can look truly beautiful , id say probably 1000 of these hours have been in the medieval 1212 mod , its brilliant , for people who say it crashes constantly , i think you 1 need to look at your hardware , and 2 need to look at your load order , i havnt had a crash at all since my first day of download , and i have plenty of submods on top of this , but back to what i was saying YES buy atilla for atilla , and buy it for 1212 and ancient empires and any other of the hundreds of mods that this game has.
