Real Time
This topic has been pinned, so it's probably important

Compatibility with other mods
Although it is impossible to exactly check the compatibility with all the mods available, I will try to gather here my experience.

These mods are conceptually incompatible with Real Time
  • Climate Control
  • Date Changer
  • Any other mods that touch the time flow logic
This incompatibility is conceptual. Real Time creates a slow and natural time flow that is tightly integrated with the citizens' logic. Real Time has no idea how to react if the time suddenly jumps back and forth.

You could use these mods together with Real Time at your own risk. The game should not crash, but the citizens will probably go crazy when you change the daytime via these mods.

These mods are technically incompatible with Real Time
  • Rush Hour II
  • Export Electricity
This incompatibility is technical. These mods change the same parts of the game but in a different manner, so there is no way to use them together. The game might crash, you might experience weird behavior, or something will not work (either Real Time or other mods).

These mods partly compatible with Real Time
  • Ultimate Eyecandy
  • Time Warp
While they are actually not compatible with Real Time because of their time changes, Real Time uses a special compatibility mode when one of these mods is active. When you change the daytime in those mods, the game will be automatically paused. You can build or make screenshots while the game is paused. When you resume the game, the time will be reset back.
The time speed options will not work in those mods, however.

These mods are compatible with Real Time
Currently, there are no conflicts with the following mods:
  • Network Extensions 2
  • Realistic Population and Consumption Mod v8.3.3
  • Realistic Population Revisited
  • Citizen Lifecycle Rebalance v2.3
  • Traffic Manager: President Edition
  • Speed Slider [v2]
  • Realistic Walking Speed
  • District Service Limit 3.0
  • Building Themes
  • Force Level Up
  • Plop the growables! (but see FAQ!)

how about Eyecandy? It is famous for being incompatible with Rush Hour
Also I've heard about issues with RICO

It is compatible with Speedslider v2. I always set speed slider to 50% so that all vehicle and ped speeds are realistic (and it save lots of processing power) and doesn't interfere with the simulation. Could you implement this? I think it would complement the mod well.

Since Speed Slider [v2] doesn't mess with the game simulation logic but only changes the game's engine time settings, it is compatible with Real Time. Currently I'm not thinking about changing the speed of cars and pedestrians. You can do this with other mods, e.g. Transport Manager: President Edition and Realistic Walking Speed.

The TM:PE vehicle speed thing is only to add some randomness to vehicle speeds, it doesn't really make them realistic.

Realistic Walking Speed MOD works fine

Climate Control is unfortunately not compatible with Real Time, because both mods try to change the same internal game values, but do this in a different way.

In my case (and I suppose that all), when installing "Real Time" with "EyeCandy", time of day of "EyeCandy" takes over the game, (in savegames and in new game), and does not match day / night with the "Real Time" clock.

If we want to have "Eyecandy", we have to disable: "enabled simulation control". But it is not enough to do it without more.

Try solution to "Eyecandy":
1 / Uninstall "Eyecandy". Delete folder and remains files of mod in Windows 10.
2 / Install "Real Time" mod.
3 / Start game, new game, play and save. Exit.
4 / Install "Eyecandy".
5 / Start game, search for Eyecandy mod options and disable: "enabled simulation control"
6 / Restart game.

It is essential to start a new game, if it does not work.

Edit.- Nor does it always work. :(

Some notes before continuing:

I'm seeing graphic glitches when rotating camera so possible conflict with Camera Positions Utility or First Person Camera. Issue only started after installing RT. Also, when doing FPC on a train, the camera faces towards middle of train rather than outwards. Might be issue with recent updates to one of these mods so needs more investigation.

EDIT: Camera issues were due to broken graphics driver and dodgey train asset.

IPT2 (both variants) doesn't have options for rush hour provision, only day vs. night. As such there's no ewsy way to add more busses/trains/etc during peak transit periods. If you would work with BP/Klyte to implement that funcitonality in IPT it would be freaking awesome!

No Abandonment mod, from vague memory, might overwrite the way buildings are spawned (ie. they build instantly). I need to do some checking later and will report back.
