Feature Suggestions & Roadmap
Hi, all! We'll use this discussion to talk about new feature suggestions and roadmap ahead for this mod. As we stated in the description, we want to avoid "reinventing the wheel" by being too much like Extraction Core or Anunnaki. This mod is meant to work alongside mods like those, and always be balanced for vanilla ARK.

Feature Suggestions:
1. Turn off particle effects on promoted dinos. You can currently do that in the ini files, but you have no easy way to see which dinos are promoted. We would love to hear alternative suggestions!

Is there any plan to introduce overpowered creatures or higher tier dinos like the other overhauls? I don't like how regular dinos are made useless in those mods

Completely agree.
I'd love for this mod to finally be the thing to focus on things to do rather than simply adding more things to tame. We've had those mods for years now and the game doesn't become interesting again just because another shiny thing to tame is added. You tame it and then you're right back to doing the same thing.

I'm setting up a server as we speak with this on Ragnarok. I may turn off the particle effects though as they are pretty loud and large. :) I plan on throwing it up in a couple hours when I get these loot boxes finished and will let you know if you'd like

Is there any way to reduce the size of the particle effects? Its not really the colors that bother me, but the sheer size of them. :)

Instead of particle effects, you could use dino skin color. Maybe make the dino's head be the proper color of the promotion, or a band or two of color around the whole dino. Or just make the eyes glow the promotion color. Maybe even... color the dino poop the promotion color. You can hunt the dino you want by following the poo trail xD

Glowing eyes or a few bands in the skin color would be fantastic and definitely doable! Great idea! Subtle, but effective!

Just a thought, currently you have it set so that only dinos above 100 get promoted. Is there a way you could do it so that you had a minimun and max level for the promotions.
As i have come across 2 nigh end dino i would have loved to tame only for them to get promoted.
I know i can go in to the ini file and remove the dino type from getting promoted but thats anoying to keep doing.

@Ker_Kerm Yes, good question, you can set those level in the ini settings!

First off thanks for answering so quickly.

I went back to the Game.ini file and looked through but couldn't see anything that would allow me to set a minimum dino level or a max dino level that gets promoted.
I play with a max dino level of 180 on Extinction so would like to be able to set the promotions so that only those dino's between level 100 and 160 get promoted.
Could you point me at the entry that does that.

Ive added a few more dino into the promotion tables for a little more variaty and changed the maximium number of dino's that can get promoted in the promotion table.
I havent touched the dino size, health or damage as yet... still having trouble handling the Basilisks and Karkinos in the sunken forest that get promoted to mastercraft.

Can you add a way to maybe infuse a commonly used material(maybe thatch or fiber) with the high quality hide so you can craft high quality items that don't cost hide?

Hey guys, I've been testing and trying out the mod on a dedicated server. One thing during the configuration I ran into is the hassle to setup for new dino's from later expansions or custom mods.

For example, Krakens Better Dinos, as it remaps some vanilla dinos. Or the Additions: Collection.

Some other mods are able to apply their custom settings on any dino on the map, regardless of map or mods used. Alpha Everything comes to mind (ModID 2205699189). It creates alpha versions of any dino, before or after the load order it doesn't matter.

I was wondering if you could do something similar and possibly categorize based on HP and/or melee attack, and then create ascended versions (like Alpha Anything creates an alpha of just about any dino).

Thanks for considering!
