Can't use SFO after uninstalling the mod manager
After installing the mod manager and working, I couldn't get another mod to work so I uninstalled it and this caused SFO to not load. I removed all mods, reinstalled TWWH2 and let SFO install once again however it does not even load at all even though the CA launcher recognizes it as installed and enabled.

Any help?

I did a test as described and it work.

From the Author: Revert to Vanilla has been renamed to "Reset Program Settings" under the File Menu but it will not remove the mods from your Data Folder (it only resets your manager settings). Only the "Clean Data" option under the File menu will do that.

You do this for each game the manager have taken with. It will revert to Vanilla(Ca Launcher's) and it will delete the duplicate files on your data folder.

Hope it helps.

p.s. It will not delete your mods folder on SteamApps\workshop\content where CA launcher's use it.

I had the same problem even after reinstalling the game. I found deleting every mod off the CA launcher and then reinstalling the game ended up fixing it for me. it's a pain but it worked

can anyone explain why this is happening? I have been trying to use the mod manager and every time it makes my game never launch again after simply running the mod manager whether i install mods or not and i need to delete and reinstall everything to get it running again. WTH is a problem with this thing?

Modded means you have either loaded standard pack mods or you foreign files in the data folder that are not part of the base game. Doesn't matter if they are being loaded or not. (it does not mean it loaded mods necessarily) So even if its just a jpg picture file in the data folder that not part of base game , the game will say its modded.

Because KMM makes a copy of all steam WS mods to the data folder , while Vanilla launcher does not do this (it links mods from the workshop folder)

Also any movie files will always run even if not set in KMM to load (or any launcher if they are in data folder). Because all Movie format mods always load if in data folder. (doesn't matter what launcher u load game with) So if u have any movie mods in your list of mods and u use KMM they always load.

So if you are using KMM it will always say modded regardless of mods selected to be used even if none are because all mods are copied to data folder with KMM.

If u are not sure what files to delete from data folder , you will have to delete the whole folder and verify the game to clean out that data folder of non vanilla files and reload vanilla files.

Its not a big problem unless u have movie mods, which do more then VFX modifications , they they can .(Movie mods are generally Visual Effects only mods, and well designed movie mods should only contain VFX)

for details see https://tw-modding.com/cataph/mod-troubleshooting-guide/

most ppl have problems because they don't follow instructions because they can't be bothered to read a couple of pages of info.(esp stuff about install process and not having mods in stock launcher active when using KMM)

To uninstall KMM, use the clean data option(deletes any mods KMM moved to data folder) and then the reset program settings, then exit KMM..(then u can delete it if u want)

Before using/installing KMM its best to use stock launcher with no mods one time then exit game after it loads. This is only way to make sure its running vanilla game (game should also say unmodded , if it does not then u have non vanilla files in data folder or loaded mods)

A lot of ppl use this without problems, i think indicates the bulk of ppl that have problems because they don't read and they are usually the same ppl that get mod loading game crashing problems for same reason...

I'm having the same issue. With the problems persisting even after I uninstall the manager, I'm scared to even get rid of it
