Total War: WARHAMMER II

Total War: WARHAMMER II

Kaedrin's Mod Manager v1.9.0
Errors when starting Kaedrin's Mod Manager - list of problems and solutions
So as quite a few people have problems atm, i thought how about we gather all the problems and solutions people have in this discussion.
I will also update this first post when people find new problems and solution.

So first let's get some basics done:
1. Run the programm as admin. To do that right click the programm, go to properties, click Compatibility, and turn on "Run as Administrator" - This can fix a lot of your problems.

2. Shut down your computer , wait a minute, restart it and try kaedrins MM again.

Now to the Errors and solutions!

Error 1: Can't find path to at least one Total War game!
Solution: go to AppData/Roaming/KaedrinsModManager and delete the GameData.XML file. Restart the manager and it should work. (thx to Saruman of Many Colours)

Error 2: Steam must be running in order for the manager to work!
Solution delete the %appdata/roaming/Kaedrin's Mod Manager folder, then reinstall Kaedrin's Mod Manager (thx to AnalyticalFireball)

Error 3: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to Path XYZ:\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\xyz was denied

Error 4: Unable to delete mods

Error 5: Launcher doesn't start (even after deleting and reinstalling)
Solution: go to AppData/Roaming and delete the Folder "KaedrinsModManager", install the latest official version from Github.(thx to Commander FPS)

Mod is currently borked since a recent mini-patch. Simply refuses to load the Mod Manager when clicked.

I can find all mods but one appearing in Kaedrin's Mod Manager: Realistic Sieges. Why is that? It doesn't want to appear in Kaedrin's. As if Kaedrin's refuses to recognize that particular mod even though it used to be able to detect it in the past.

How do I do a full reinstall of this?

It just up and stopped working today. Won't launch at all, even running as admin.

did a system restore and no dice either

Do I need to do anything in the registry?

Because simply redownloading the latest version and overwriting my old folder doesn't do anything.

Alright so whenever I try to launch completely vanilla through KMM to join multiplayer games, ALL of the available multiplayer games are all red and unable to join.
(I launch KMM as administrator and have no issues running mods in the singleplayer.)

I think the issue might be in "Movies enabled: 4", but I can't find out what Movies are to disable them.

The only way I've been able to fix this issue is by cleaning data and resetting program settings in KMM, then running the game through the vanilla launcher. Which I have to do every time I launch Warhammer 2 through KMM in order to fix the issue and play vanilla multiplayer.

This makes playing multiplayer modded through KMM impossible, which is quite sad considering how much superior it is to the vanilla launcher.

Please, help.

I think I have a fix for @drankazi83 and @CzarThiccolassII, with the error of the mod manager just flat out not booting up, without any type of error message or feedback, etc.

Along with Fix #1 at the top of the thread, I also deleted the entirety of the Kaedrin Mod Manager folder in Appdata/Roaming, not just the .xml file, and installed the latest official version from GitHub. This seems to at least have gotten the manager to boot up and recognize Steam files, hope it helps.

I've got a Daelin mod that I delete from WIIdata and KMM brings it back when it boots & it is not able to delete it itself. Its the lore friendly weapons mod.

When I click show contents it shows me files but no location.... might be an idea to add this?!?

Hey I have been experiencing a similar issue to @drankazi83 and @CzarThiccolassII. If I attempt to launch WHII through KMM the WHII loading screen will pop up, load for 30ish seconds, then ctd. I then lose the ability to launch WHII unless I do the reset program settings and clear data trick through KMM. Now can launch WHII from the CA launcher. Quite the relief! ty for sharing that.

The mod manager works perfectly for WH1, WH2 and Shogun 2 for me. Trying to enable Atilla causes the mod manager to crash however
