To 1875. Good fun - the focus tree feels like playing a Science History game :) . The whole focus tree ( Bismarck Political option) was completed up to this year a few beyond. The "German Focus Tree " does not unlock ( perhaps not yet created) and a German Unification did not fire - but there is another way. Now given the Tunsgten no trade bug, it is really a "war for tungsten" so look where it is available.Only few states in western europe, Italy and most of all Portugal. Just start justifying war with two German states at a time untl you have them all. Once tension reaches 100% the cost goes down. Build cannons, not howitzers, and sufficient horse tack to keep your army at full strength ( with artillery, engineers and recon). Snap up Netherlands before someone guarantees it. You can't get Holstein ( reported bug) so build a wall to keep out the 12 yes 12 Canadian divisions that will show up once you are at war with the UK. Take Switzerland, then Italy, then Belgium ( war with UK triggered ). When you get 24-30 Divisions attack France. One small corps in a holding action Savoy-Swiss, the main effort in a Schlieffen plan. Do not accept the French peace offer. Then Spain and Portugal ( Tungsten heaven). When France and Portugal fall you get some colonies from which to take Rhodesia ( tungsten) . Your navy should be getting up in size - remember you need to buld outside the Denmark straitse.g. Bretagne. Invade the southern UK from France with two five division corps - the invasion wil fire as soon as you a moment of 50% superiority in the channel. Take a port, slip in another large corps for 30 divisions in the UK. Capitulation in short order. Next target India ( tungsten afgain !) where your bigger navy can can superiorty from South Africa to the west coast. Same invade and reinforce tactic. Oh yeah invade Denmark by sea to get around Holstein or wait. Eventually you can give Holstein up for 300 political points ( I think ), then the bug goes away, you justify against Denmark as normal. Now for Russia. Build your army to 4 times 24 division corps - you should have upgraded to Dragoons by now. Attack late spring. Then Finland ( Russia caps separately). Then Scandinavia. I stopped at this point as the focus tree was at the "1000 days" to research stage. Saved game in case I feel like going at the Qing, plodding through Africa or going to North America !
