Suggestions
While we prefer you give us suggestions on our Discord server (it's easier for us to collect them, and for you to post them), you can post any suggestions here, including ideas, things you want fixed in the next update or added, and ways you would like to contribute!

We seldom check Steam comments. (Nobody likes Steam comments) If you want to make suggestions that actually he through to us, we recommend going to our Discord server instead.

Q. This seems like an ambtitious project, but all other 'ambitious projects' on Steam get abandoned after time! Won't this one too?
A. Most abandoned mods are a one man project, and simply too much for one person to swallow down. This isn't the case for EoaNB; we have a well organised team of main devs and supporting devs under them, well over 30 developers. We can promise one thing, and it's consistent development.

Q. How will you handle the division spam of the AI in ten years or so?
A. An ingenious idea to limit the number of divisions to the number of factories is our immediate answer; but many other measures are in preparation, including division capacities, template limitations and penalties to large armies.

Q. Conquering is too easy; the mod is so broken right now!
A. In the next big update (Deus Ex Machina) we plan on adding rebellion and culture group mechanisms, to ensure nations can't expand too far outside their comfort zone. When a general diplomacy system is adopted, we'll make sure things like unifying Germany through militaristic operations will have giant repercussions too.

Q. I can't unify Germany! WHEN CAN I UNIFY GERMANY?!??!
A. The big scenarios like GerUni or the Risorgimento requires a bit more layout, so it doesn't turn into a scripted RPG with only communist alt history outcomes sprinkled on top of it. We're taking our time to make it a more complete experience, so we hope you take yours as well.
We hope these bigs scenarios will at least be available after Deus Ex Machina, but no promises.

Q. More content for nation X/focus tree for nation X
A. Content will come when we have devs that are available to work on those nations. We prefer more specific suggestions rather than add A, add B; those are all already planned for some day, and we won't change when we're working on it, period.
Please let us know *how* you want something changed instead, we'll be able to get some actual suggestions from that.

Adding a rebellion mechanic would definitly add to the game, make it so that if you have very low stability there will be a revolt of millita units. i dont have a discord but i thought that this might help a little. :steamhappy:

Like in the great war mod, you can research a certain technology which gives you new infantry or cavalry e.g redcoats-ww1-ww2 e.t.c which give you a new skin. Naval emphasis and airplanes would be good research as well

if you want add a seperate political system in the germanic region that can make any of the small states a leader / major in the faction and annex some smaller states + swiss catholic protistent split and revolt Prussia has the largest capabiltiy to become germany tho / similer to china in WTT

Best things to add
1. surender and custom demilerterized zones
2.color change
3.Better and smaller states for the game
4.Unique focus trees for every country and for every era
5.Move capitals
6.more countries

A good idea would to have a retirement event where a certain amount of men leave after 5 years due to age illness or something like that this way armies dont become massivly op and have to keep on investing new manpower into the army meaning constant expansion isnt as easy.
For example
Due to the increasing age of our soldiers many have left or ran out of contract with the military.

-100k manpower from fielded units (varying depending on the size of the army)

Also add penalties for after a war so that the country now has to remilitaries
For example
Due to the war effort being over many military factories have now shut down also men have started to leave now the war is over and there is no need for army service and population has now started to boom
-50k from fielded army
-8 military factories
+50% pop growth
(this should vary depending on the size of the war so if its butan then no negative penalties but if a 5 year russian war massive penalties)
This then evens the playing field so that its alot more difficult to invade everyone without first thinking of the consequences

When you complete actually making the mod, try to optimize it as that many modifications to the game probs isn't gonna run well with other peoples PC's

Would be great if you at least didnt make the research more complicated, its complicated enough. Would be good if you lessened the amount to research actually.

Hey there, probably won't see this but, I was also making a small mod with this victorian time era, but you did it muc hbetter, much quicker, and much more well developed compared to me. However, I notice that you didn't put wallachia and Moldavia under the Ottomans which I believe were ottoman vassals at the time. In addition to that. I'm very sure that at the start date of 1857 Tunisia and Northern Libya (Triplotania) were also vassal states of the Ottomans along with Egypt and Hejaz. Also might want to close the Panama Canal. INCREDIBLE WORK. But one mechanic I was going to implement in my thing is a unique combat mechanic. Due to the lack of manpower and the undeveloped front lines in t,he victorian time period. it was more major manuevers resulting a big battles. Because of this I would also recommend implementing a combat mechanic which I was thinking where combat width is reduced greatly so that more people can be thrust into one single battle. (During the Victorian Era of things). This would make concentrating focuses and countering them with quick movement a key thing, which was very important during this time. The Germans made great use of rails and effective mobilization and manuevers during the Franco Prussian War for example. If you did use this, you could probably remove this once a certain time period is reached. For more immersion also, you could probably make the indian tribes pupets of america but have them have focuses to let them attack the U.S. or make the U.S. have focuses to start the Indian wars. ALso maybe add focuses or decisions to go send advisors and/or military observers to observe the American Civil War.

@Djokdal Great idea, we're planning to add Victorian Era unique tactics that enforce a more accurate representation of combat.
We'll certainly close the Canals (we're still figuring out how we would do this) and fix the puppets in the next hotfix.

I feel like you shouldn't be able to just annex countries. Maybe you can only get the territories that you justify for.
