Biolizard Arena (Sonic Adventure 2)
"Sonic Adventure 2 Pack" idea
If you're capable of extracting models from Sonic Adventure 2 and making them available for GMod and SFM, have you considered making a "Sonic Adventure 2 Pack"?

As many props and models you can extract and be a conveniant collection all under a single Workshop submission. All the enemies, the environment props, NPCs, obsticals and the like.
That way instead of many individual requests for different SA2 content, you can cover it all in one submission.

For example I've made a TF2 Green Hill[tf2maps.net] map that needs at least two SA2 models (Tails and Eggmans mechs without them in it). I'm making a Pumpkin Hill version that needs lots of TF2 models (Pumpkin Hill enemies and environment models) and I found a GMod map of Iron Gate which looks impressive but rather bare.
Just saying it be cool if there was a "SA2 Prop Pack" to cover them all.

As for character animations in enemies, I dunno how difficult that would be. Perhaps you could collaborate with someone who can help import or recreate the animations for you, but if you can't I'd still appreciate the props even in rigid ragdoll state.

I'll try to make a SA2 Pack, but I went through hell and high heaven to even just get the biolizard arena, so I might think about it, and if I do get around to it it'll take a long time because of the method I use to import models to SFM

As long as it's happening, I'll look forward to it even if it'll take months or years.

I got the Tornado mech without tails in it, though due to how the textues are in different formats, it doesn't quite work

the same exact thing happens with eggman's mech

Oh, I would love to help but I know hardly anything on texture mapping let alone Blender.

Oh! I found this if it's any help.

Perhaps it's possible to extract model mapping data or perhaps you could use the other models in that provided link to help with the progress.

Though if you do so, you might have to share credit with the original submitters, I'm not sure of the erttiquette of such things.

Thanks for the links, I can get some stuff here, but after a lot of experiementing, nothing wants to work, I've tried data mining the files, they're either A. not there at all but only in game (binary encapsulation) or B. Has jumbled polygons that either don't want to work at all in blender, or produce a mess of incorrect texrures. Looks like my plans of trying to get most of everything from SA2 to SFM might be impossible (well, besides from the already posted models that are ripped but not on sfm) the only game that I can think of that I can get literally everything in is Sonic Adventure DX (or the dreamcast version) because there's next to no encryption in that, and I can get full models without having to bang my head against a wall for 2 months trying to figure out how to get the model from the stupid format that the game has it in, then trying to jump over hurdles that are put down by how the game handles polygons, items, etc (like the enemies and items are in highly encrypted binary files in SA2, so I can't do anything but get the main character's models that don't work, and the chao models)

I can only reliably rip levels (no objects) Ironically, I can efficently rip everything from SADX

Well, I don't need any models in particular from Sonic Adventure, but there maybe those on GMod, SFM community or Hammer map makers that might.

If you want, you could ask others such as Suroguner or 4th Chaos Emerald given they have SA2 submissions in the workshop. PErhaps if you ask how they did it you can apply that to the extraction.

I would love to import Sonic Adventure 1 level maps in Jazz Jackrabbit 3(alpha demo).
