well sorry about that :(, but hey at elast you tried <3

I tried for a while to try and extract it, but I have 0 idea where it's model is. it's not in the game's files, and I read the memory addresses of the arena. The model technically is in the model for the arena, but it's all compressed to a single point, and I am not skilled enough with model ripping and vertex manipulation to transform it into a usable model without having to play through the entire game and use Ninja ripper

I would heavily appreciate it, so I don't have to buy the whole game to get the model

well since you can't make remake it from ground up can your rip out the biolizard, the fat lizard on life support that a edgy hedgehog fought that some how descirbes the majority of children in the sonic fanbase. No Offense. Ive been really looking for a model of it

I'm not skilled enough to remake it from the ground up, but I did port it to Half-life:alyx's workshop, I guess it's a tiny bit better there

you gonna remake this with better textures and less clipping?
Jsnake13 Aug 10, 2018 @ 12:00pm
I fixed it by switching maps, sorry, my fault
Urakross  [author] Aug 9, 2018 @ 8:58pm
are you sure there's lighting in the arena?
Jsnake13 Aug 9, 2018 @ 3:40pm
Why is that whenver I drag a model into the area, it dissapears? :(

well, I tried to use a program called sledge editor which is an open source version of hammer, and I can import the map into hammer, but the polygons that make up the roof don't want to work for some reason, but if I can get it to work, all I need to do is retexture it (it took my 4 days to texture it originally) and them compile it into a working map, but the question is, how do I get the roof polygons to work
JonnyCars100 Jun 26, 2018 @ 8:08pm
Dang that sucks. But understandable, since my computer seems to not like hammer either lol
Urakross  [author] Jun 25, 2018 @ 12:16am
nice, now if only I could compile it into a usable map, but when I try to hammer just dies spectacularly

Hey, I made two pictures/posters using your map/model. I do like it, so great job!

Here if you wanna see those images:

Awesome job! I haven't tried it yet, but I'll definetly try to make something using this map. I really wish I knew how to import maps/props from games, because my most wanted map from SA2 is that area in the ark where they have the end credits part. But I just have no idea on the how, so I really apprecate this! Good luck with an "SA2 Pack." I'd help if I could, just don't know how at the moment.

I'm trying to make this into a map, and I'm running into problems, like Brush: no visible sides, and WARNING: BSP node with unbounded volume (I think that's caused by the scale of the map, but I don't know) if anyone is experienced with this kind of stuff, please post your wisdom in the map discussion
TheGermanWizard May 31, 2018 @ 1:50am
I see. Well, there are ways to make your own textures and making a basic map just to look if your stuff works isnt too hard, there are tons of tutorials on youtube. I would also recommend looking at textures from models of tf2 and copy certain properties into the material files. A lot of trial and error, but it may just work.
Urakross  [author] May 30, 2018 @ 11:21pm
no, when converting from SA2:B to SFM all of that was lost (I don't even know how to do an animated texture, I mean I did try to get the water to glow at least
TheGermanWizard May 30, 2018 @ 3:57pm
I guess i can fill the part when it comes to a map for this. but not right now, im on vacation xD Didnt look at it yet, is the water animated? like a moving texture or so and do the textures on the model have their properties? like refracting glass, reflectivity of surfaces and stuff thats always lit no matter if there is light or not.
Mystic Monkey May 27, 2018 @ 9:21am
There are a few things I'd like from SA2, such as Eggman and Tails mech models without the pilots and various props from Pumpkin Hill, preferably animated (bobbing trees and pumpkins, rocking gravestones, waqvy ghosts with scare animations).

But I had an idea that may benefit you, I'll start a thread on it.
Urakross  [author] May 26, 2018 @ 11:43pm
that took a while, but I have a way to get the biolizard model....and it involves me beating the game first, so. in the mean time, i'm open to requests
Mystic Monkey May 24, 2018 @ 8:21pm
I've tried getting into modelling for workshop contribution, I got Blender and I have ideas for cosmetics for TF2, just it's complex and daunting for me that I never get anywhere. Whenever I open up Blender I feel like I'm at the helm of a NASA shuttle.
Urakross  [author] May 24, 2018 @ 8:07pm
it's much simpler than you think, at least for some stuff, for me, I stayed up for 3 days straight trying to find the biolizard's model, but I could only find the arena
Mystic Monkey May 24, 2018 @ 6:55pm
If I could, I would do it myself and save everyone the trouble, but it's beyond my head on how the process is done.

I'm currently working on a Pumpkin Hill themed map and have to substitute the trees and graveyards for brush-made props and they look ugly.
Urakross  [author] May 24, 2018 @ 6:52pm
well, i'll try to, but it's a very low chance I might, seeing as it's a massive pain in the neck to extract, then make sure it doesn't break anything
Mystic Monkey May 24, 2018 @ 5:01pm
WIll you be extracting and importing other models and maps from Dreamcast-era Sonic games to GMod and SFM?

(If you take requests a Pumpkin Hill prop pack would be greatly appreciated.)

I love lizards.
