Does the "native coexistence" button do nothing?
New to mod, wanted to try dwarf race. Moved into a hold, cleared it, and sent a colonist to start colonizing nearby. I have the "-100% Uprising Chance" button selected, yet I had an uprising almost immediately. I say "almost" because it didn't fire until the month after I set army maitenance to 0.

So I lost the colony and then immediately got some "adventuring party failed" stab hit. Game crashed.

So, question is just if the Native policy buttons do nothing in this mod or if there's something special about the dwarf tunnels? Is there a "best" time to start colonizing as a dwarf company? Why do the OPM monster nations in the tunnels have 20+k troops? How do they even afford that?

Have a look at the permanent dwarf modifiers and that should explain why you're being attacked still.

You have a troop limit of something like 19k troops as a company and much better military tech + race mods for infantry, so you'll often win against troop stacks double your own size. The monsters get a massive force limit modifier, meaning they can field large armies for very little. But stay ahead of them in militech and you will beat them.

Alright, thank you. The mod is cool, but there is so much to wrap my head around with these different races that it's easy to miss details.
It is very much advisable to read the opening slides at game start, it explains the unique mechanics including the fact that "colonising the dwarovar is a bloody business" or something like that
