Multiple Copies In Proving Grounds Bug
I am aware there is a bug that makes about 15 or so identical projects in the proving ground.
I'm chipping away at it, but I can't get it to occur consistently, and the bug doesn't make the game unplayable, so its not at the top of my list of priorities. If anyone has any insight as to what might be causing it, please let me know, as it stands I'm kind of just taking shots in the dark.

very late reply, but the name you gave for your TechTemplate is 'HHSTechTemplate', yet in the UIScreenListener, you seem to be checking if (TechState.GetMyTemplateName() == 'MyTechTemplateName') , so that the variable alreadyExists can never be true.

Could this be the cause of the issue?

Well shoot that sure seems like it would do it. I followed a tutorial and I guess I didn't rename all the variables properly. I'll give that some testing soon.

That didn't quite do the trick, though it certainly doesn't seem like it was helping the matter. I'll probably look at the MEC trooper mod to see how they did it. If you all know any other mods that add a tech to the proving grounds, please shoot them my way.

When I personally tried it, it didnt get rid of the existing copies but seemed to have stopped new copies occuring.(the copy count stayed at 20 even though I saved/reloaded/played some missions with it)

I didnt get to try it with a new save, but maybe with a new save it will stay at 1?

This is a real puzzle of a situation. I was able to reliably cause the bug to occur by fully closing the game and exiting to desktop, then starting it up again. I'm not sure if there was another scenario whereby the project would be replicated, but that was the only one I found. I'll try some other stuff, but if its working better for you, I'll push an update soon.

so I started a new campaign with my proposed fix to test it out, and I'm definitely not seeing duplicates anymore
even though I have repeatedly saved, exited and reloaded the game
