Reformer because there are a variety of paths you can go down. Also, you can sorta stay a purist when you go down the reformer path because you deal with ghouls and mutants.

Obviously Reformer du to the plethora of things you can do with it and the long impact down the line of a full campaign but at heart ill always go for Purist wich is what im doing as reformer basically going as hard as i can for an elite playthrough. I do get the appeal for the opposite tho. I even spent a month reworking the Purist path to make it lenghtier and more appealing to my playstyle.

Either way, you can get Indy Neidell as High Command

You have to purge the opposition and when your Army guy gets removed, you can pick Indy Neidell. He gives -8% Attrition Debuff to all of your units, so you can fight easier in desert. :D

I almost all the time go for Reformer, because the man power, but right now im having trouble in late game with this new currency thing who dont let you have to many armys :C and you cannot defend yourself in to many fronts because you start to losse money.
And also the purist path is very weak comparing dat to reformer, because man power

ya sure, I took down the following nations as purist: Kaisar, Ncr, all bos and some other minir nations. As reformer I couldn't do any more than thhe ncr

The problem you're having is you have too many divisions and not enough land you get caps as you take states and if you can get rid of the NCR you won't have to worry about political power plus you're Enclave just focus on power armor if you can since you have APA

I have take the land dude, i kill the NCR and the BOS, but fighting agains kaisar and the other minor countrys is a pain in the ass because you dont have any Caps, and i dont like it bro, at least the developers need to add buildings who produce caps, at least dats the solution i will do
Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.

I love the Reformer Path. I find the Purist Path to be genocidal, and stuck in there own ways.

Reformers seem to care more about the country, and are more willing to restore the Republic. Even if they got to work with 'Wastelanders',Guals, and Supermutents. To achive there goals.

Always Reformer. Its more fun, and you're more powerful. Purist can be a fun challenge tho

Seven Pillars of Wisdom! I think the mod maker saw the Sabaton video

The purist ability to turn all factories into offmap versions is really nice and makes for a secure industry.
Only started playing them yesterday and wrote a small sub-mod to implement the resource gathering by robots in the lawless wasteland. (which is hinted at by the description in the focus tree and has some basic decisions written into the mod, but is not working currently)
