OWB - Enclave Reborn
Ideas for the Reform Path
Since were expecting the Reformers to come soon, I guess we could post ideas of what we may expect.

You know I did have an idea for the Reform Path. A Focus you can select called the "Mutant Question" which can lead to either a Choice or Mutually Exclusive Focuses which can let you choose the option of Equal Rights and Segegration.

Segregation, you don't seek to wipe out the Mutants (Which Purists prefer to wipe out all mutants instead of Segregation), rather you seek to separate the Mutant Population from the Human Population mainly out of safety concerns and a sort of distrust rather than Hatred for Mutants. Though this could in a way increase stability while decreasing Manpower and also decreasing Reformist Popularity and lead to Elite Popularity rising. Which the result could see protest from Mutants whereas the Humans also don't really mind. The decresse in popularity would mainly be from Mutants. The Reformers whom pick Segegration are not fond of Mutants, but they dont hate them which they don't believe in Genocide since they find it too needlessly cruel, but prefer separation as the viable and safer option.

Whereas Equality it's pretty self-explanatory. The result would see decrease in stability while at the same time increase in manpower and Reformist popularity while at the same time increasing Elite Popularity (From some skeptical Humans). Which the result would see some concerns from the Human Population about letting the Mutants be equal, though gradually things would improve with the majority of the Humans not really minding. As well in the Focus or Choice description I guess there could be a mention of Martin Luther King Jr.

Perhaps adding this focus would also let the player decide how life is within the Enclave. Which would be interesting making National Focuses for the Enclave thst affect Civilian Life. As well other focuses may include determining if the Enclave for the Reform Path should adhere for a Conservative Society or a Liberal Society.

Which playing as Reformer you can have a sort of play style as being either Egaliterian or Non-Genocidal Racist.

I also had another idea in mind. Having looked at the Decision after choosing Reform (Even though its incomplete). I did see the Decision to reveal the Enclave to the NCR. What if the Enclave has a decision or a focus to coup the NCR and replace them with a Leadership that is friendly to the Enclave? Which it could trigger an NCR Civil War.

For the brotherhood of steel, you can end defeat them, or cause infighting within their ranks making them fight each other. Once the brotherhood is no longer a organization, you can gain free man power. There are also choices about the Legion and New Vegas and what to do about them.

Hey AznMagicalGamer, unsuprisingly, your ideas are already very closely in line with the ideas I have in mind and are currently implementing for the Reformers. There will indeed be more choice than the Purists, for example on how much the Mutants are actually accepted, how the NCR is dealt with (setting up a friendly regime is possible!) and how militarized, democratic or authoritarian this new America is.

The Purist were a little railroaded with minor choices by the player, my hope is the Reformers have a longer campaign with more replayability duo to their larger focus tree and many more choices and paths. This is also why they are going to take a lot of extra time to implement, so it's hard to put a release date out there.

Can't wait for Reform.

Also for Purity there should also be a focus to wipe out the Legion since they may wipe out the NCR before the Enclave has a chance or if the Enclave wipes out the NCR first. Which the Enclave Purists would see the Legion as a threat that must be wiped out just like the NCR.

My suggestion is that you add that research thing for the Xian fighter for the reformists, like you did with the purists.

Before this discussion dies, I suppose I'd like to get in two ideas I have.

A suggestion I'd like to make, that Jef may already be working on, is where if you take an egaliterian stance, at a certain point the Purists will label you as a "commie". Upon this, they will attempt a coup against you, starting an Enclave civil war. Bonus points if there's an option to make Douglas support making the new United States a Social Democracy.

My other idea I'd like to propose is an ability to perhaps make peace with other factions, out of pragmitism if nothing else. Whether it be by getting a friendly government in charge of the NCR, or just by enacting some really persuasive diplomacy, you can recognize NCR independence, and get them to recognize your right to exist. Similar things can be done with the other major factions.

What about the Refomers Coup NCR and starts the civil war much earlier and gives the NCR Enclave lots of benefits and maybe gives Grant C Hayes some leader bonues like stability and political power bonuses.

yeah i also have an idea; instead of just annexing the ncr and the other nations relevant to the focus tree the player will get the choice between puppeting them under a federation or just plain annexing them like vault city and its two neighboring tribes if the player defeats them

in advance sorry for my bad english. there should be an option when you reveal yourself to the NCR depending on Old World Party popularity in the NCR the NCR will do differnt things like when there is 0%popularity the NCR will attack you or if its 60% there will be a civil war where a custom weak ncr under some general in shady shands will be created and the original now Enclave ncr will be your ally, but if its 30 or 40% it will be the other way around with a weak custom NCR Enclave spawnig in daygolw and the NCR declaring war on you.And once you got Grant C hayes in power it is going to be like intergrating the warlords in Waking the Tiger where your NCR ally is going to start out independent or autonomus puppet and wiht each stepp of intergeration their autonomy will go down to colony puppet intergratet puppet and after a lot of pp you are going to annex them.

After some thinking, I've got some more ideas if anyone is interested.

1. Claims to historical states:
Now, technically, anywhere that was part of pre-war America can be claimed by the Enclave, however, places that were major bases of Operation like Nevarro should have the opton of being Core states.

2. Deal with more than NCR:
This is probably already being worked on, but we should be able to interact with more than just groups like the NCR. I wouldn't mind having an option to decide on how to deal with the Legion and other such group. We could decide whether to co-exist, or if the Legion is simply horrifying and must be removed from American soil! While it's true that we can simply declare war the old fashioned way, I wouldn't mind some focus tress dedicated to it.

3. More with personal lives:
When playing a bit with what has been released, there are option to decide the personal background of your leader. I wouldn't mind seeing more done with that, perhaps even creating a whole storyline surrounding the personal life of the leader. For example, perhaps Douglas gets to reunite with the people he saved from raiders years ago (if the player chose that option), which could give a relation bonus.

Now, this would admittedly be hard to do, but if Jef could pull it off, it would be awesome!

4. Give Dornan some attention you MO-RON!:
Jokes aside, I was pleasently surprised when one finds that Dornan is not only still kicking, but is a major figure. However, Dornan seems to practically disappear after the desicion to install someone as President, at least in terms of story anyway. What I'd like to see, is for an option to permanently install Dornan as leader, or at the very least to mention him and his faction again.

That said, I understand that this technically isn't necessary, so this isn't much of a biggie, especially with everything that needs to be done,

we need atleast an alliance with ncr to fight the legion or make a one where u can annex the ncr after fighting then focus to take on the rest of the map

A good idea would be for the Enclave to try to convince some Brotherhood members to join the Enclave and/or to annex a local chapter under the idea that they are both isolated remnants of the United States
AznMagicalGamer Jul 13, 2018 @ 1:23pm
@The Enclave don't think eh Enclave would tolerate the Brotherhood considering how they were founded by US Army Deserters, as well the Brotherhood also partook in the Battle of Navarro which wiped out most Enclave.

you have a point

@The Enclave though if you defeat the Brotherhood, they should give you a choice to "Reaccept them as Americans" or "Execute them for Desertion and Treason".
