----- ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ----- Dynamic Unit Caps
Unit capacity is something you will already be familiar with you have played the Tomb Kings. This is a restriction that prevents you from recruiting 'capped' units, unless you increase their capacity.

LO makes extensive use of the caps system, making the game significantly more difficult, as well as reducing the likelihood of elite units being spammed.

Unit Caps can be increased through one of three ways:

1) Building, or upgrading recruitment buildings
2) By choosing a legendary lord (They all increase the capacity of a select unit)
3) Through selecting skills on lord skill trees

COMMON QUESTIONS

How do I know if a unit is capped?

On the unit card, the cap will be represented by a red padlock on the unit's abilities row. If it does not have a red padlock then you can recruit an unlimited number (excluding ROR)

Do all factions have caps?

All factions utilise the cap system, except for the Wood Elves who are limited primarily by their inability to expand effectively. Bretonnia peasants still use the peasant cap system.

If I lose a military building will I lose the capped unit?

No, the cap only prevents you from recruiting additional units, it has no effect on existing units, even if you are over-cap.
