How do you get this to work?

I have it installed correctly, aswell as the Wad...

However, there's no instructions on how to actually play?

I open Garrys Mod`, it's listed in Addons, but there is no instructions on what to do next.,

So what do you have to do to get this working?

You should be able to spawn in doom monsters via sandbox. If not, I'm sorry.
