BUG FIXES AND DEVELOPMENT
If you would like to collaborate or suggest ideas for future improvements for this mod, here is the place to do it. I have not widely tested this equipment especially in story missions and survival mode so any bugs or issues please let me know otherwise here.

I'm not sure if it's just my game, but when ever I use the controllers to fly around my game loses quite a bit of fps. Do you have any suggestions on trying to improve this to make it more playable?

I've had that happen as well from flying too fast. Basically I think the problem is the game struggles to keep up with the world generation, but when I was down on the surface and I did 1 lap of the planet everyting flowed smoothly for me.

To remedy this I've changed the controller speed so the Jetpack doesn't fly rediculously fast.

Can you possibly add another item or something that acts as an on off switch for the jetpacks?

@notepad ++

Working on it. Problem is I need to identify the starbound variables in the lua script that are responsible for movement and then essentially set a function like the flashlight on off switch but it affects the gravity. Sadly the progress is slow for said reason of knowing what the variables are :/

So for anyone who reads this besides me :) ...

Added one piece of new gear I was experimenting with - skimmer jetpack. Making an armour and weapon set designed for surface operations.

The Advanced jetpack is more dynamic. It slows down to a complete stop with air friction mechanics. It also simulates fuel usage by slowly draining your energy usage. when your energy starts to get low you begin to fall - this is to simulate "you are low on fuel". When you run out of energy you will fall hard.

If you choose not to move you can effectively make yourself an airborn turret. I plan to make a weapon set, all two handed weapons that have a set purpose and an alternate weapon ability that affects the physics of the jetpack in some way or another, such as a burst of speed in one direction, a deflector shield, lighting glow effect (maybe?) or stun grenades.

Also important to note there may be a possibility that WSAD keybinds may not be possible. Still researching but I feel that the physics have improved significantly.

Feedback is always welcome! If you think somethings up or ♥♥♥♥ speak up and I will try and fix it (^_^)

Did you add a material with the ID powercore? I was running into ID conflicts with Frackin' Universe, and when I unsubbed, it worked fine. I'd really like to use your mod, but FU is kinda essential.
CaptainRumBarrels  [developer] Mar 26, 2018 @ 3:17pm
Yeah no idea about the core. I'll change the name if thats the only conflict
CaptainRumBarrels  [developer] Mar 26, 2018 @ 3:29pm
changed powercore to fusion cell. even changed the graphic in case they used the vanilla

When ever i am using the controller i go down to 15 fps no matter where i am, any ideas why?
CaptainRumBarrels  [developer] Mar 28, 2018 @ 11:16pm
which controller are you using? if its the teleporter controller only reason I can think of is the animation for firing. Other than that It works perfectly on my system without any lag.

The normal controller

Are there any known conflicts with this mod and others in particular? I installed it along with a slew of others and my game would crash after start with no error, and after a while of uninstalling mods one at a time, uninstalling this one is what let me start my game up normally again.
CaptainRumBarrels  [developer] Apr 5, 2018 @ 9:42pm
hmm strange. I did have a conflict with frakin universe due to a duplicate item error. SInce then I changed it. It's compatible with FU which is the main thing. I don't have many other mods I use personally.

As far as I know the only issues I've had was with broken scripts I made which have since been fixed.

The main thing this mod introduces is a crafting station, armor and back items. Unless there is another mod that makes patches to status effects or anything that affects armor I can't think of anything that.

I wonder if it would be a mod that adds EPP module slots to all armour? One of the mods I have does that, and it sounds like that could definitely be a conflict.

Edit; Specifically, THIS mod. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1154799233
I went ahead and asked that mod maker to add this one to their list, so maybe that'll fix it!

Also, sorry it took me so long to get back to you! I forgot to tick the subscribe to thread button.
