My First Thoughts
There is a lot to this mod that is fantastic, but also quite a bit that is alarmingly not good. Now I didnt choose the best route to take when starting my first GC with this mod, I went straight for an all factions super large game, didnt quite understand what I was doing when setting it up and thats fine, the issue came with my first part of actual gameplay. starting as the First Order I was only given starkiller base to start, perfectly fine, except i was over my pop cap by about 40 units and couldnt do anything. I took over an empty planet, and moved onto the next, where my first battle was. I became very aware of the fact that these giant resurgent class SD's were practically useless in most meanings of the word.

I'm not sure if I'm a fan or not of having just 2 fighters or bombers per squadron, or the fact that every dies VERY quickly, but thats a gameplay/realism choice of the creator and thats fine, but the issue becomes apparent when theres no super capital ships, or bombers, or any actual meaningful planetary defense to go against, and yet the resurgents are being melted away, while doing very little damage in return.

The first bug I encountered was that 70% of the weapons on the resurgent class don't even fire at all. they are just there to soak up enemy fire. I love that finally a mod actually displays and utilizes all real ship weapon systems available, but whats the point when most don't actually work?

The second bug, and unfortunately I cannot post images in discussions, was a 100% invincible cruiser/gunboat. I had 4-5 Resurgent's firing upon it at once, along with numerous squads of fighters and bombers attacking it, and it literally had infinite health. If it is most vulnerable to star destroyers, how is it that its completely invincible to them!?

This is all in a few minutes of first playing the mod, so I want to talk about some positives now

The empire/first order actually gets Quasars!!!!! Amazing! Literally not a single other major mod I have played has done this!

The First Order!!! I have not seen a single other mod depicting this late era faction, along with its resistance counterpart! including all their era specific ships!

The graphics are quite nice, and everything is immensely detailed, (although as stated, to its detriment).

So I read the "before you post", and although I find it irrelevant to what I've discussed today, my specs are here

I realize the lack of any discussion posts by players, and while worrying, I hope the author sees this, along with loads of comments on the main page about issues similar to this. There will always be loads of dorks that are complaining about nothing, but what I've stated are genuine issues I've experienced in just less than 20 minutes of playing.

I will keep playing this mod because it has so much content in it that I genuinely love, and I will try to understand more of its nuances, and if this post is still up afterwards, I'll surely update it with more thoughts, positives, negatives, fixes or causes of some of the issues I've experienced so far

Update: A fleet of nothing but army transports magically defeated my entire starbase defenses when auto resolving and that made me quit playing

You have made a terrible mistake, you have starting playing the mod in a Total War GC when this type of Galactic Conquest is for veteran players.

You did not know nothing about ships, units, gameplay, nothing and by that reason you felt how the Resurgent was a bad ship. But it is very useful and powerful.

By that reason, you do not understand the game mechanics.

You should start by a two factions galactic conquest as Empire at War and before that, play several skirmish where you can discover the units.

It is curious because fighters being killed fast is a matter from the game and I have not seen any mod where they be alive more with exception from be invencible.

The numbers from the groups depend from the ship. Poorer ships spawn just one fighter.

There are not larger groups bigger than 3 because that feature affects a lot to the game performance and in galactic conquest, you can find battles with thousands of different fighters, each of them with their capabilities.

Of course, it is not so powerful a TIE Fighter than a TIE Avenger. Resistance, speed, more is different.

I recomend you watch the videos at my youtube channel. Do not wait me answering you too much here because I have moved all my attention to that and that channel is the unique reason because I continue doing mods. The unique. In fact I am valueing go with everything to private and say goodbye to the mods.
