problem getting the mod to work

Hello, I was directed here by the author to look into the FAQ on troubleshooting why the mod might not be working for me. The only mod I am running is a better everything which I guess is quite a few mods. Could someone please direct me to a section that discusses troubleshooting getting the mod to work?

Also to confirm the author said there should be a 1 point of ablative shields for my guys in the first mission. I completed that mission and didn't see any armor. To confirm I should also see text information about the 'better' mods located in the base archives section right, if in fact they were all loading properly?

it was a conflict with another mod I didn't realize was loading so was able to get it working thanks
