if it helps a few of us over on odd's discord have been discussing it and have tried:
deleting local game and all saves, settings, reloading from steam, redownloading all mods
the game loads into tactical directly from a save
if you load into strategy layer, then start a tactical mission, it crashes
loading into a tactical mission, completing it, then going to strategy layer and starting a new tactical mission crashes
at least 2 of us having the issue are 80+ missions in on FL20, one person is only FL11
if it would be helpful I can provide logs, but reviewing them I didn't see anythign that jumped out at me, just that something in the mission initialization seemed broken
happy to share crash logs, save file, etc if you want
Mission 41, 14 and latest Mission 76... Basically it seems to be caused by capturing one (or more) of the MOCX team in a prior mission.
Example in my latest attempt. Mission 75 I captured a Dark Templar and all future missions failed to load. Luckily I could go back into Mission 75 and not capture the Dark Templar and all future missions now load fine.
In all my previous attempts I had a MOCX mission prior and made a capture. Sadly my 'Save Tail' wasn't long enough to save the campaign until now.
It doesn't happen with every capture. This Dark Templar on mission 75 was my 4th or so successful capture across the campaign.
If you make the capture and dismiss the capture it will not fix, you have to go back and not capture at all.
For reference I'm running the entire Modpocalypse collection (509 mods) using AML and this has been the only issue.
Hope this helps!
