Will a Type V reactor with 37 rods run at the same temperatures as a type X with a full rod count?

I built a type V reactor in a mountain base, but can't fit enough radiators to adequately cool it when fully loaded. As a corrective measure, i'm planning to run the type V with only 37 rods (the type X maximum rod count). I know I can cool a type X up to 90% power. Will this work?
