for those wondering, i am making a animation where scout gets run over by a payload cart and the camera is a dash cam.
Hello, I don't know if you still have this problem, but you can try using the Weld tool and Weld the camera to the payload cart. Here's a more detailed instruction:

1. Disable Collision on the camera (unless it's Advanced Camera, that usually doesn't have collision)
2. Position Camera to however you prefer on the cart.
3. Use the weld tool on the camera to the cart.
4. Unfreeze the camera. It should stay in place and move with the payload cart.
5. Animate the cart how you usually would in SMH.
6. Then, select the camera in SMH and just add the necessary keyframes from start to end.
7. At this point you can unweld the camera because the camera should now be moving alongside the cart as two independent animatable objects.

From there, you can freely modify the movement of the camera either by moving the keyframes around to make it either slower or faster. Hope this helps!

The Mod Advanced Camera works with smh. I am still climbing the learning curve myself.
To change the properties of the camera {update zoom ect.} use the tool to update the spawned camera; like you would with a lamp. Just remember to save a key frame to save the change.
