Stop Motion Helper
EXTREME ISSUE (Animated Prop Tool + DLib?)
(DLib isn't very important to the issue so i'll be glossing over it, but just in case, in the current glitched state of my animation, it sends a DLib error every frame when i interact with SMH)

I created an animation that mostly uses Animated Prop Tools, just because those are usually easier to use than ragdolls for one reason or another

Anyway so as I've had to deal with addon ♥♥♥♥-up-age before, I loaded the animation and spawned in a duplicate of on of the APs to test it. As i expected the clone AP was all scrunched up and only animated the basic pelvis movements. So I deleted the duplicate and simply tried to move on with the animation.

However, when I went to go play or move anything on the timeline, it sends a Stop Motion Helper error and doesn't properly play (most) of the Animated Props (for some reason, one of the props was spared, no idea why, its not like its because its a single prop because there was another single prop that got frozen too)

Anyway so after this glitch, the 2 main animated ragdoll-y props, and 1 of the prop-y props got frozen, while 1 remained fine, yet I can't fix or reload the animation because it'll just break again.

(Before you ask, I checked and unchecked every box in the settings menu, and some settings in the properties menu, none of them fixed it no matter what i changed)

DLib is an addon that helps with localization or something like that, its required for some of the addons i use

the APT i used was this one
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=120629004

also, i ended up fixing the issues I had, but for future's sake i'll explain how i fixed it, unfortunately i dont remember the errors since i closed them and didn't take screenshots, but im pretty sure it was something about item IDs being incorrect?

anyway as for the problem being solved;

1. load messed up characters
2. select with animated prop tool
3. select original intended animation (if you dont know, then its better to write down which one you used
4. it should be fixed, but if the characters are still messed up, try playing the animation/selecting the animation frames

yeah i recall when using some animated prop tool thing, it'd be weird with dupes as it also would turn "hitbox" of such an entity into tiny box when duped, perhaps it's some sort of issue with APT and duping. and probably smh couldn't find some of the things it manipulates on that entity, whatever those were, bones, flexes

although i think that my issue happened with some other animatable props addon, which also added an option "make animatable" in the c menu right click on entity thing
