Starbound

Pandora's Box (Legacy - Read description)
Question for people who also have Elithian Races
Have any of you found even one Faryth since the Spam Blobs were added? These little boogers are on every single planet, they replace a lot of other spawns, they drop stuff that isn't all that useful except for the niche use of making eggs, they're annoying to fight and they spawn in hordes. Oh, and they don't even drop EXP for RPG Growth, so that's fun.

I have explored five forest planets and one lush planet so far today, and I haven't seen hide nor scale of a Faryth. Plenty of Gummies, though. Plen-ty.

Pandora's Box monsters spawn groups should not be replacing any monster. In fact, they are patched in the same manner that Frackin patches in their monsters.

Off the top of my head, the main biome Gummies are found in are forests yes, but their spawn group shouldn't be overriding anything. They are patched in in the same manner as the mod's other monsters.

If you're using a pre existing character/in a universe existing before you added PB, I would suggest visiting forest planets you have seen those monsters on before. A pre existing planet's spawns never change.

I should also mention that sometimes, Starbound's generation can just screw you over. Once a planet's biome monsters have been picked, those are the monsters it will always spawn.

That said, I am sorry you are having those difficulties, and would try to be more helpful if I were capable of investigating myself. (I haven't been able to work on the mod for quite some time, due to my pc dying.)

Adding to that, the Gummis also weren't a recent addition. They have been in the mod for quite some time.

Yeah, and shortly after posting this, I finally found them. RNGee Whiz. And yeah, I've discovered that most Gummies are resistant to a lot of elemental damage other than physical. The real problem for me is Glitchtops. I hear that, even on my start planet, and I'm all "NOPE!".

Rofl, I can feel ya. Starbound's spawning can be.... Interesting. I can have times where I can walk from one generated structure to another with few encounters, and a few where I just seem to find a rave. Rofl

As for the Glitchtop, I really wish my pc hadn't died when it did. I was planning on taking another look at their mechanics again at some point. I somewhat feel like their "attack" is too flat. Too predictable. If I ever get a chance to revisit them, I will probably be making the Glitched effect do all sorts of weird stuff. (Since they're supposed to be glitchy anyway..)
