As this is not available in modded crafting benches, and a lot of modded servers won't have vanilla fabricators placed, could you please consider adding a 2nd iteration that requires the original scuba mask to craft, and is craftable in personal inventory? Just a thought.

After all that getting into the fab in the first place lol.

I was thinking that myself to be honest, I'll change it to inventory i think.

As you seem to know this post process thing could you create anti whiteout fog sunglass for this mod or or make it a standalone mod so we don't have to deal with the constant bad fog weather.

@Rikimaru55

Fog is a different beast I'm afraid. It's part of the weather system within the level. It can't be adjusted in the same way. I know there are mods that remove the fog altogether, and I have seen some modders talk about making some sunnies so stay tuned maybe.

I'll take a look at it, but I'm guessing others are onto it. :)

Thank you very much anyway this new update to the weather is ruining my gameplay, out of curiosity i remember using some console commands last year to remove both the underwater fog and the post effects sure it did not look realistic but do you know the codes?

Can't say I do sorry. Wildcard is aware of the weather issues though. So hopefully they'll correct it themselves in an upcoming patch.

Hey! I know this might seem like a weird request, but would it possible to create a version/setting that still includes the mask overlay and stuff? I really like the vibe of the mask and having your perrifferal views obstructed! But I hate since wildcard nerfed the masks it makes all the colors washed out and that you cant see as far!

Great mod!

Great mod!

It's actually on my TODO, so not weird at all.

The issue I have is I don't really like the overlay itself, being just a blackout around the edge. I'd prefer an overlay that has some translucency at the sides, as if the mask was more see through. I was working on the texture for it and managed to completely bork it lol, so didn't include it

I'd like it to not be completely black around the edges, with maybe some bleed through of the scenery. You reckon that would suit ya?

It'll be an easy INI option for you to enable the overlay again, but i'll try to make it so you can continue to customize the distances.

Thanks for the feedback.

Nanu Nanu

Would it be possible for you to add a clear vision mask? As "unrealistic" as it may be some people (myself included) do like it.
If you could add it you would've pretty much recreated "ScubaVision" which was an awesome mod... RIP.

Bit of feedback to add, been using it on the center map an have noticed that the sky beacons that spawn in the water are abit hard to tell what color they are when under water. Not sure if there's anything you can do about that... apart from a clear mask ;) ... nothing to major to worry about, just letting you know.

Thanks for the feedback ShaZZa. I'm definitely focused more on the realism side, but as i iterate more, I'll consider more options. I keep hearing about this mythical ScubaVision mod, people talk in a hushed reverence about it lol.

There'd be next to no chance to see the supply drop colours without it being fully clear I think. The tints prevent that. What about giving a clear shallows but murky depths option? That way you could see clearly at the surface, but gets dicey down deep?

Cheers,

Mork.

This mod is almost perfect for my needs but for one thing that I have missed from the SCUBAVision days, A good blue variant of the mod. While you did a great job with the Green, I really just don't like green over the blue option. Could you put in a blue varient or an ini setting to go to a more blue filter. Its a problem I have with the clear versions as well. I want to feel like I am swimming in water not air.

No prob. I'll include that for the next update. Need to rejig the code for efficiency, so I'll see if i can include an option for you. Cheers Mork.

Nice job, thx for implementing the mod.

Is there any way to replace vanilla mask by clearmask in the drops? Would love to get advanced versions with more cold resistance.

Could you collab with this guy and add these effects to primitive stuff for servers that don't have access to fabricators and vanilla scuba gear?

Hey mate, no real need, you can fit this mask in to primitive if you need to. If you've got a primitive server that has a config for all the engrams, you could use settings similar to below. It is also craftable in the player inventory already, so no need to build a fabricator.

Example For Primitive - Learnt at Lvl 40, costs 25 points, and doesn't require any prereqs, so no fab.

OverrideNamedEngramEntries=(EngramClassName="EngramEntry_SwimClearGoggles_C",EngramHidden=false,EngramPointsCost=25,EngramLevelRequirement=40,RemoveEngramPreReq=true)
