EG - Larger Galaxy Sizes

Description
Compatible with 2.2+

This mod adjusts the shape of galaxies to be less uniform, allows for galaxy sizes up to 15,000 stars, and significantly decreases the size of the core (core previously had stars - felt that signficantly reducing the core size was a good compromise between core vs no core). If you find the core too bright, use Dimmer Core.

WARNING - Please read the next section for suggestions about stability and limitations - ignore at your own peril!

1. The base game does not have enough star names. Use something like Realstic Star Names or Cybrxkhan's Assortment of Namelists.

2. The load times on galaxies have increased massively in the 2.0 update (due to base game changes), I assume due to pathfinding generation during the initial load. It took about 5 mins for me to load a 5k galaxy, although I assume once it is generated, it'll load much more quickly for save-games.

3. I recommend not using more than 40 AI civs, as there does seem to be a hard limit in the game, and if the game goes over that, it crashes. A common cause of crashes seems to be primitive civs reaching FTL and taking the AI civ count over its limit, and for this reason I'd suggest using a low primitives setting. Consider how many more primitive civs are spawning on these larger galaxies.

4. I've previously tested all galaxy sizes with max settings, but since the Stellaris 2.0 update makes loading times unbearable for huge galaxies, I've only tested up to 5,000 stars, 50 AI empires and 5x primitives on 2.0 though. I can confirm that it loads, but can't guarantee that it won't crash if enough primitives make it to FTL.

5. In short, the game wasn't designed for so many civs and such large galaxies. I'd recommend sticking to galaxies no larger than 2000-3000 stars (for performance), and no more than 40 AI civs (for stability). Or just turn off primitives and play with 50 AI civs.

Size Options:
1250, 1500, 1750, 2000, 2500, 3000, 4000, 5000, 6000, 7000, 8000, 10000, 15000.

- Decreased max number of AI civs to 50 for larger galaxies to leave more room for primities to reach FTL (this would otherwise cause crashes with say 60+ AI civs selected).

Shape Changes:
- Less unform shape.
- Galactic core is much smaller.

Includes No Clustered Stars - Not yet in the 2.0 version!
This prevents empires from spawning immediately next to each other. Credit goes to Taw for creating No Clustered Starts.

The mod isn't having any effect on my game

@SENSENEL : That's also because of origin-civics... some of them will spawn additional empires.

Taihou, less AI empires, less habitable worlds, no guaranteed habitable worlds, and mods disabling features such as habitats are the best way to increase performance. I also went for the 7800x3D, which has better gaming performance especially for paradox games.

nevermind, got it to work. Just had to close out then reopen the launcher after resubbing.

What's the file location for this mod? I had moved the game over to my external hard drive, but this mod told me it didn't exist on disk. So I unsubscribed then resubbed but all that did was show one of my other mods that is deprecated when it asked to load the mod into the playset. So I just want to see if the file is downloaded or not. Don't know how to fix this issue tho.
