You got the warnings of the attack, and they came during the thunderstorm on the storm planet. The DOOM; a race of electronic beings bent on ruling all creation has been destroying worlds with there fleet of Dreadnoughts. The base you are stationed at created a virus that can scatter there programming into oblivion, yet you need to deliver it to your capital ship. The DOOM intercepted and decoded your transmission, they are here now; and they dont want you to escape with the plans to stop them. In a surprise attack during your stationed planets yearly destructive lightning-storm, you race to your capital ship before the DOOM destroy you, the plans, and all hope along with it.

Your ship is waiting for you to leave. Survive the attack, get to your ship before they destroy the base, and save everything from DOOM.
