Forsaken Shrine

Description
Brave the icy mountains and enter an abandoned temple, full of ancient magic and strange technology.

A collaberative level, whose creation spanned many months and three contributors: Krispy, Ashamael, and Snowstate. We hope you enjoy it!

Special thanks to Snowstate for saving this level by providing the final push to get it out the door.

Man the visuals were awesome! i have no experience with rating gameplay but i don't think it's the worst i've ever seen. Forget the gameplay, i'd play this again and again gameplay or not to just try to work out how you did it.

This track left me with mixed feelings. Really enjoyed the visuals of the whole level, but gameplay was rather inconsistent. The only fun to ride place were the cliffside jumps in the snowy region, that felt exhilarating (There should be whole track like this IMO). But the shrine areas were definitely disappointing as they offer no gameplay value at all, just really pretty to look at.

Very creative level, but needs more polish. There needs to be more signposting and cooldowns.

Interesting facilty. If I drove into it personally I would turn the car around and drive back out as fast as possible. What was this place designed to do, anyway?

wow... That track is awesome!

I just finished this track and I'll be honest. You have some of the most amazing set pieces I've seen put together in Distance in a while. I feel as if you three put a lot more effort on the visual aspects and not enough of how players would travel through it.

I get where you were going for this: Off Road exploration though ruins in a snowcapped mountain and I dig that, but if this road is meant to be traveled, by driving or flying, there has to be a level of compromise on how the place is formed.

>Actual roads skinned to look like the set pieces wouldn't be so bad.
>Turning that rock filled cavern into a flight zone would be amazing.
>Less obstacles or space out the obstacles.
>More refresh zones or take out overheating entirely so people can focus on your track and how to approach it.

great visuals, but level design was less good and un fair at times.

@ashamael I think he more means the lack of transfers. There really isnt anything technical going on in this track. Just obstacles and having to do tricks for cooldown.

Only bit of critique would be that the weird shrine part after the lazers and before the flying section could be better. Very tight obstacles and it might just be me sucking but it would ruin almost every run. Would generally end up just bouncing off the walls trying to go through and get turned around or worse, crash.

@mUsiCAN Pretty sure its intentional. Jump and and do a flip with your car for cooldown.

Omg, please fix your track. You forgot a few cooldown-checkpoints. Very annoying to slow down all the time :/
