Planetary Diversity

Stellaris: 2.2.* - Mod Version: 1.5.2

This mod adds 31 new planet types to the game;
- 18 regular worlds some with events.
- 5 gaia style planets/habitats with events.
- 4 rare worlds.
- 2 exotic life type planets.
- 1 non-colonizable planet.
- 1 arcology-project.

The mod uses events to change the existing planets when a game starts. Example: All the regular dry planets will reroll as the extended PD dry planets. The mod does add the rare/special planets as initializers, so they will add to galactic planet count but they are set to be scaled to the size of your galaxy. On a tiny map there will be 0-3 and on an extra large map, there will be around 24 extra planets. Aside from the rare/special planets spawning is untouched.

It also has two game start events;
- If you start on Sol or Deneb you can add terraforming candidate modifiers to some planets.
- You can change nearby neighbour planets to be the same category instead of same class.

Rare Worlds
You can start on these worlds, they have a slight bonus and they spawn in the galaxy randomly. They don't get ideal neighbour classes, but they do get nearby planets that thematically appropriate for them.
1. Geothermal World - A icy world with high levels of geothermal activity that create lush jungle pockets. Special mining and energy districts.
2. Superhabitable World - A super earth that is larger than most habitable planets, aside from the high gravity it is a perfect place for life to flourish. Special mining and farming districts.
3. Tidally Locked World - A planet which is tidally locked around its star, one side always faces the sun while the other is trapped in eternal darkness. Special energy and farming districts.
4. Bioluminescence Jungle - A hot jungle world that is under almost complete darkness, has special farming and energy districts.

Unique Worlds
5 new types of Unique Worlds. Most of them have their own event chain and are basically planet Leviathans. They have special districts and deposits that give special powerful jobs, and/or strategic resources. You can start on these worlds with Civics, and they have special bonus districts.
1. Floating World - Energy/Minerals - A planet with islands that float in the sky.
2. Crystal World - Farming/Minerals - A planet with large building sized crystal pillars. What causes such mysterious powers of the crystals?
3. Tinyanki Graveyard World - Energy/Minerals - The final resting place of the Tinyanki when they are done their cosmic journey. They bring minerals and energy from all over the galaxy to this rich world.
4. Archive World - Physics/Society/Engineering - A long-abandoned artificial world covered in supercomputers, what information is stored there?
5. Techno-Organic World - Energy/Farming - A grassy world with a planet-wide irrigation system, who made it and where are they now?

Exotic Worlds
The two exotic life planets start are rare planets and can be chosen at the game start of the game. They can be terraformed later in the game.
1. Ammonia – Black oceans, dark green vegetation.
2. Methane – Brown/orange and hazy (based on pictures of Titan).

Arcology Progects
1. Eco-Arcology - A solar punk/utopian arcology focused on Art, Culture, Research and Food production. *In Beta, this will definitely be tweaked/nerfed/reworked at some point, please feel free to give me your opinion on this planet.

Planets with Terraforming Candidate
1. Hothouse World - This is a un-colonizable planet that can have an anomaly that will make it a terraforming candidate.

Is this mod compatible with Real Space by Annatar?
Lex Peregrine  [author] 15 hours ago
@King of Thorns: Yes it is, you just need a small patch in case you use my New Worlds submod.

@Everyone: I keep a list of a few mods with compatibility patches here:
It may help some of you, and its been reported my patch for Guillis' Planet Modifiers fixes some issues even without my New Worlds submod, so make sure to get it if you use GPM.
Let me know if there are other useful patches not in my list.
King of Thorns / Edward Mar 22 @ 12:55am
hey, is the actual mod usable together with real space?, i want the look of the nice real space systems along with the beautyfull worlds of planetary diversity but not the new frontiers module of rs.
Sandermatt Mar 20 @ 1:37pm
@Gatekeeper, thanks for the answer. By the way I wanted to mention, that the special districts do not appear when used in combination with cultural overhaul. I mean the special districts for the unique planets like floating worlds.
Gatekeeper  [author] Mar 20 @ 1:22pm
@Sandermatt - They can be used with special edicts and/or special buildings that unlock when you control the mining on those planets.
Sandermatt Mar 19 @ 12:39pm
What do the unique resources from the floating islands or graveyard actually allow you to do?
Alzara Mar 19 @ 7:14am
Please list the mod as incompatible with MEM then. I will fix it myself.
Gatekeeper  [author] Mar 18 @ 11:28pm
@Alzara - I don't have the time to work on patches for all the mods, and sadly with every mod changing the district's files, it would almost be impossible to keep up.

@Kadaeux - There is currently no way to start on it as it can't produce food. When I have time I will update it as a machine start. You can choose it to be guaranteed for you to start near it, in the system chooser.
Kadaeux Mar 18 @ 4:01pm
How do you start with Archive? I can't find it in civics.
