Moray!

Slippery as ever, The moray gets a radical atmospheric revision!

This one's definitely got teeth.

[Edit]
Much Thanks to our subs and raters, this got added to stock in Alpha 4.3

I hope you all enjoy it, from Myself and my Master Shipbuilder - Oojimaflip.

[Edit 2]
Disclaimer - attempting to fly upside down in this vessel is foolhardy, ostentatious and very effectively masochistic. Doing so voids any warranty on the vessel. That said..... if you can afford the resources, why the hell not? :D

Gorgeous design. But why o2 tanks anyway if its not for space? I tried the other version from the collection and it has also no o2 station. Another nice addition would be docking pads. It moves quite nice and can take a few shots when face taking base defences. Currently i think a good modification would be an additional rail gun (range, precision) or a swap for a missile launcher on each side. The thrusters have no cover and i'd put a wall element on the bottom to protect em. The o2 tank in front of the cockpit is also tricky since the core seems not far behind it so i'd rather put another armor in. But all in all very nice bird!

Hey where did you find the shapes to make this ships front? I am trying to repair the damage I got from a firefight I had with a drone facility next door and cant find the shapes you used on the list.

I am sure I am missing something since your ship wasnt the first one where I encountered this issue when it came time to repair.

This variant of the Moray was specifically designed for atmospheric use, and to be more like a classic plane than a space ship, hence the lack of braking thrusters ;) The original that this was based on, is a fully fledged space-going SV though. you can get it as part of the collection at

Ah OK, I didn't realise I didn't need to specifically use an O2 station to breathe in an SV. Thanks. I'm enjoying it, though it's really hard to slow down!

oh, and I did notice that the device groups contain an "o2 station" group.. that actually contains an RCS... go figure ;) I'll get that fixed.
vicomt  [skapare] 12 dec, 2016 @ 10:05
No it doesn't. It was designed as an atmospheric craft which is a short duration flight that usually requires little o2, and the pilot feeds off the ship's o2 tanks.

there is a space for it directly behind the rear RCS blister (on top of the ship). It would be simple to remove a couple of blocks and drop one in if you need it.

Does it have an O2 station? I can't seem to find it.

Yes there's a cap on speed, different vehicles have different caps, HV's are slower than SV's, which are faster than CV's.
There are also different caps in space and on the surface.
effectively all vehicles of the same type have the same max speed, it's just how fast you get there that's iimportant ;)
