Distribution Center Cargo Station

Modular distribution center (RICO)

A cargo train station which fits perfectly into my modular distribution center. It's rotated 90 degrees compared to the default one and functions as a terminus, but the track can be extended in both directions if you wish, though some sort of road anarchy mod is needed if it needs to cross a road.

It uses both tracks and works like it should, though I could not get the trucks to line up properly with the loading bays. It's a bit silly they drive into the building anyways, but I figure it's a small detail which can be ignored. :)

Same as default

@Avanya: thank you so much, i think yes i did use move so it might be it, anyhow if the problem comes again i will have that screenshot.

@AYM3N: I just tested this and for me they're moving in and out as they should, when I place it like in the picture. If it happens again, then please grab me a screenshot of it. Also keep in mind if you use MoveIt, since that might not move the invisible paths on the asset, making the trucks behave strangely.

@AYM3N: That's very weird - they shouldn't take a longer route :S I'll have a look and see if I can fix it. But there might not be anything I can do. With the latest update there's alot of weird stuff going on with cargo trains.

@Avanya: don't have that save game anymore but here is a sample of the problem i had:

@AYM3N: Can you grab a screenshot of it? It's just easier for me to pinpoint what's happening when I can see it :)

I have a wierd problem with this assest, some cars & trucks entering from the side of the building ( cross the rail and enter from side loading bay) and exit from front! and there is no side road ! it's empty space with some props only.

@Angelhearth: Yeah, that's a limitation of the game sadly. Would have been cool if they would have used all of them.

Do they only use the 2 doors closest to the trains, like in the video? I would really love it if all doors where used.

@Slick Gamble: I'm not at all an expert at this, but if I remember correctly it's something like 180 units. There's no special tracks for that, it's just the usual ones which are stretched using a script in ModTools or MoveIt. Adding normal tracks in each direction can give the illusion of a longer station track, since the train will spawn in the middle of the station track. There's alot more info on Simtropolis's forum in a few threads if you're interested - and people knowing much more than me :P

@Avanya I wanna peck at your knowledge real quick. What is the maximum length of a piece of station track for vanilla (don't pay attention to the lod)? Does the extra station track mod allow for custom sizes? I would prefer to have the 4 station single long for each station setup versus the two 2 station dual track station setup, but I'll resort to that if necessary. The super long train series have trains up to 145 units long and my rail yard is 300 units long. It would be great to get a modular station piece to extend the length of the station itself. I tried to make it myself, but this is an area my skills are extremely deficient. Where should I begin to learn? I know your bucket list must be two years long.
