Youre supposed to drive off the road and directly initiate fly + fly down (from your perspective). Imagine it as trying to get on the other side of the road. What you will find is the checkpoint on the backside of the road youre currently stuck in.
Cooldown problems should only occur if youre not doing any tricks. For example, in the later stages youre driving up a ceiling and then need to do a bit of flying + wall-jump. But if you dont do any tricks you will heat out before you can even reach the wall. What you need to do is, as youre about to jump, fly and then immediatly re-enter the track, trading your points for cooldown.
The NoVisual cooldowns were the ones i was trying to add, and they were messing with my checkpoints in some weird way. I dont get it either, but im not very good with the editor :P
After the first drop I'm supposed to fly a 180° turn and drive up? Then hit a near-invisible cooldown and try to land on another upside-down track? I tried it, it's very hard even if I can clearly see the track.
If I'm lucky I can skip to the teleporter exit 3 but from there on the track isn't fun either. Cooldown problems on upside-down tracks in total darkness. Long gaps that I can only fly if I add cooldown triggers. And too much upside-down. Maybe nightmare would be the correct diff.
You used an empire ring combined with cooldown in one place, why nearly invisible cooldowns for the others? You could even use particle effects with "CooldownTriggerNoVisual" to create cooldowns that are somewhat visible and guide the player.
When placing checkpoints, make sure they are rotated correct. Test each checkpoint. I don't understand how a cooldown could break that.
The only thing i can safely place are arrows which i cant change so it messes up the visual thing. Its probably me not being good with the editor.
So again, sorry if you had a hard time finding the tracks. My comment down below explains the two difficult checkpoints to find. The track isnt long and very doable with current checkpoints.
Try to wall-ride less and fly more, this level can be beat without skipping any tracks through flying but its very difficult for me; and im the creator and know the track (+ have completed insane levels like colorless).
If youre stuck on finding a path to continue, read my comment below (again, i would place arrows but it messes things up visually - they stick out way too much).
Thanks for commenting!
Generally i end up giving allot of feedback if I decide to help people with track design. Didn't feel like giving a long winded explanation to you or to Platz the other day when I made comments.
If you want some indepth analysis of what could be done to improve the track or just want editor help feel free to add me on steam.
After that you just follow the checkpoints. But yeah i overdid it a little, especially since it isn't supposed to be very difficult.
Hope you'll forgive me this flaw, this is my third level and i haven't used the editor in months since i made my first two...back then i think Distance might've been in Alpha still.
Also, as Steam seems weird and i can't find a way to respond directly, please respond if you read this (or atleast have seen in) so i know you did. Thank you :)
