Resetting to Default (Deleting save file)
Close your game!! Search for %appdata% in your windows searchbar. This should open the folder Roaming and contain a folder called BetterBudgetMod. Delete the folder and start the game as usual.

I noticed this as well but I have had success manually opening and then closing the budget screen when I first load a save. After doing this I never see the budget screen flash on-screen again. Presumably after this manual opening and closing the mod is able to properly open the budget screen off-screen.

Perhaps this could be invoked by the mod on load?

Ah, yes. The budget screen gets turned on and off for a single frame to allow the expenses to be update, because they only to when the budget screen is open (because it is a very cpu intensive task apparently).
Usually, the budget screen should be hidden outside the bottom of the screen, but i guess something changed in recent updates.
If you want to you can turn it off by pressing they left Alt key and the B key at the same time once. There wont be any feedback, but it should turn the updating off. Be aware that expenses of the budgets (the $ monies value) wont update unless you hover over it with your mouse. But if that isnt a problem, then you should be good to turn it off.

Hi. I have noticed that with this mod on, every minute or so, there's a budget screen (most likely this screen) popping up on the screen and within a split second it disappears - just flashing through. I've checked it by removing this mod and adding it back on and it happens only when this mod is on.
Are there any settings to change so we can fix it? Doesn't seem to be a widespread problem.

That's true. I did not hardcode any of the budget categories, it instead searches and find the budgets dynamically on each game file startup.
To be honest if i am looking at the source code today, it is quite the mess.
I just want someone with (preferably all) DLCs to test if they can add the DLC budgets manually (like shown in picture 3).

Works fine with no DLC's.

Don't have any of those so I can't test that but in theory it should be easy enough to add the new sliders in since the underlying framework is still functional. I would be willing to look at doing this if you don't have the time/desire.

I would need someone capable of testing.

Haven't looked at your source yet but I'm guessing from your credit of Snowshoe Bunny that you search for available budget categories and present those in Budget Editor.
