Black Blue

Description
Black Blue is a Sprint level, and replica of Nitronic rush's "Hardcore Black".

Black Blue is not 100% true to "Hardcore Black", and features a few slight changes. Most prominently, the color scheme has been toned down to feature exclusively blue and orange hues, while the original prominently features blues, purples, oranges, and a bit green here and there.


Constructive criticism is appreciated.

I love the way this one looks, and it's a bit truer to Distances style as it should be (this is Distance after all), could use an extra checkpoint or 2 so you don't get booted as far back when you mess up. Other then that and maybe a few minor adjustments here and there to make it play a bit better, as well as seem more like it's in distance and not it's predecessor, I think this is a fairly decent track.

Thanks for this. I don't see any problems which are easily attibutable to your work!

In the "regular road to wall ride" transitions I've run into the roadside barrier many times. I have not compared your work to other levels, I assume it's either lighting (can't see barrier) or track alignment?

i haven't found any problems with the quarter transfers nor the final transfers. I'll look into it again when i get back from my work tomorrow.

Regarding the end the new requirement of a jump is intentional.

Regarding Judge Dredd's remake- I knew his version existed since before i made this map. I'll link to it in the description to stop people from thinking that i don't know it exists.

Try looking at official levels to see a better way to align roads for quarter turn transfers (regular road to wall ride road). And the series of quick transfers at the end are kind of jarring and the alignment doesn't feel right, maybe move them further away, or close the gap between the roads. Also, in NR you didn't jump into the finish, you just rode into it. Another thing: Judge Dredd already made this level in distance =P It's called Hardcore Black.

Cool and it fits the theme of the game but in a "darker void" also would love some lighten up areas that would be cool few tunnels on the side that is lighten up or parked drones?

Also some tracks for 90 degree transfer areas does need to be put a bit closer so you don't hit the edge of track.

I don't think it would benefit this track to add more checkpoints, as checkpoint placement is something i wanted to keep identical to Hardcore Black, from Nitronic Rush.

I love this level, but it could use a few more checkpoints for competitive play. Took me a while to master the final jump, very satisfying when I did.

What an outstanding level! I loved it, hard to see anything wrong on first play.. i'll keep looking. Keep up the great work though :)
