Blessed by Horax

Description
This mod introduces many blessings Horax's cultists can receive, making them stronger and their raids more interesting.

Blessings of the Flesh

Flesh's Hands: the cultist gains two tentacles that autonomously fire projectiles at nearby hostiles every two seconds. They can also serve as melee weapons.

Chembags: the cultist is bloated with chembags akin to a boomalope, causing a fiery explosion on death.

Pusbags: the cultist is bloated with bags filled with pus. They explode on death, spreading a substance similar to firefoam and causing those hit to vomit.

Flesh's Maw: the cultist grows a massive maw on their torso, which can fire an acidic glob every so often as an ability.

Flesh's Protection: the cultist is covered in tumors, which absorb some incoming damage. After absorbing too much damage, they need to regrow.

Blessings of Metal

Metalhorror: the cultist harbors a metalhorror within their body, which will sprout out when they die, fighting for their faction.

Metal Spikes: the cultist is covered in spikes that damage melee attackers. The spikes need to regrow after this effect triggers too many times.

Metal's Burst: the cultist can throw a volley of bioferrite spikes as an ability.

Blessings of Darkness

Shadow's haste: the cultist moves and attacks much faster in the dark.

Shadow's mystery: the cultist is invisible in darkness.

Shadow's pain: the cultist causes a burst of pain when they die.

Blessings of Death

Death's Caress: spreads a deadlife explosion on death, raising shamblers.

Death's Mending: when downed, enters a short regenerative coma.

Death Mastery: can raise corpses as weak bonebeasts.

Blessed pawns have a special skin color. Most blessings also come with a visible attachment or visual effect, so you can tell at a glance what to look out for.

All blessed pawns are unwavering. You can still use these blessings for yourself, either by recruiting them anyway, or by turning them into ghouls.

Recommended Mods

VEF: while this mod's features don't depend on VEF, VEF enables mod options which you can use to make blessings appear less often and to make cultist raids have more or fewer pawns in them.

Corpse Ghoulification Serum: an easy way to use the blessings for yourself.

Feedback and ideas for more are welcome.

When cultists raise shamblers those shamblers are neutral to the player. Maybe make those raised shamblers aggressive.

Hello Metalocif, that's an interesting mod. So I created a mod "Blessed by Horax_zh" that adds a Chinese translation for your mod and published it on the workshop. Thank you for your contribution! Keep on keeping on!:dslike:

Suppose you could always apply the blessings yourself via DevMode. Like if it's a health hediff or something?

Awesome!

No, I considered it but I don't think that's very interesting. If you just want megapawns with cool Anomaly-themed passives, try Integrated Implants.

great mod, but could you make a ritual which would allow you to steal their blessing? like the dark arcite genes from resplice https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3236303965&searchtext=resplice

Alright! This should make the cultist raids more interesting.
Thanks for the mod.
