Magnus - last of the magnoceros kin. A tale told by the master blacksmiths from Mt. Joerlak describes what is believed to be the sad end of this mighty beast; an end that came with the unexpected eruption of Mt. Joerlak. The magnoceros tribe, forced to leave their homeland, was suddenly ambushed. Unable to save his people from the flames of the volcano and the blades of the hunters, Magnus fought what is believed to have been the last battle of his life. His fight raged on, many hours passing and victory within reach, when both Magnus and his remaining enemies became trapped in a pit surrounded by lava and melted rocks.

All lore keepers agree that it was the end of Magnus. However, what really happened that day very few would believe. After piercing the heart of the last hunter, Magnus realized he was left without a way of escape. As death approached, surrounded by rocks and lava, he chose to put his horn to a final test. Gathering all the force left inside his body he charged with great speed right into wall of solid rocks. Cracking it open, he burst out from the death trap. Magnus could not believe he made it out alive, yet his relief didn't last long, realizing that his mighty horn was broken in half. Exhausted and wounded after battle, he collapsed on the ground with his life's spark fading.

Fate, however, was on Magnus's side that day as the eruption led a curious adventurer to the cleaved mountainside. A scientist who could very well relate to Magnus's loss. The stranger decided to help the dying creature. Magnus doesn't remember much, as he lost consciousness soon after, however he still remembers the one sentence the stranger told him - "I will make you a better horn, much better or my name isn't Boush, the Tinker". After those words a portal opened, taking both of them far away from Mt. Joerlak.
