Portal 2 Campaign-Style Test Chambers

Description
Thought it'd be fun to design some chambers in the style of Portal 2's single-player campaign. I want them to feel almost like "lost chambers" that may, in some parallel universe, have been part of the actual game. Hah, as if! But you get the gist.

I've tried to capture the feel of Portal 2's levels here, paying close attention to how the campaign's puzzles are laid out and how they feel to play. This is my attempt to pay homage to Valve's phenomenal level designers.

I originally designed these for a friend's Hammer map a couple of years ago, which may still transpire at some point, but in the meantime he's happy for me to publish them here.

Difficulty: Easy

What do you think, could you see this puzzle slotting into the Portal 2 campaign?

Nice puzzle - same issue with cube to exit area, although it did work eventually. Thanks for creating.

@Critfish Thanks for playing! I have no clue why that keeps happening, as it works perfectly every time for me. I must be subconsciously placing my portals differently or something. Faith plate trajectories can be finicky, but I'll see what I can do to fix it!

It took 5 tries for me to execute the final move because the cube wouldn't come out of the portal right. Volvo pls fix

The puzzle's fine otherwise.

Aha, yes I was! I only remembered it in that Wheatley map with the double piston setup. Thanks for the reminder :lunar2019piginablanket:

@Nobody No-One Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed :) As for the laser move, I think you're forgetting Portal 2's companion cube chamber :p2cube: (Chapter 2, Test Chamber 7) where you have to do exactly that

Fun map! Viewing it in the context of the campaign puzzle progression is interesting because I recall the move of shooting a portal under a laser-blocking cube not appearing until Ch. 8, but the faith plate chain of course is very Ch. 2-4 feeling. Nevertheless it captures the campaign vibes very well and I'm excited to see the Hammerization if it ever comes!

Nice and easy thank you. Its unusual to name it "portal 2 style" as it is portal 2!

Tad easier than your usual, that means much more approachable game, although there is some possible physics error in portals transfer lateral momentum so it is just likely that you don't land on the exact spot for the aerial faith plate.

Just in case, here's a hint: you get to Exit by walking to there from the landing pier, but cube gets there by fling.

I like the classic feel to this
