FAS BOR-7 Horus Titan

Description
FAS BOR-7 Horus Titan:

"The FAS-BOR7 Horus was designed by FAS' owner and CEO Ted Faro, and developed as part of FAS' Chariot Line of combat robots. Faro designed the Chariot line to operate in swarms similar to those of certain insects. Horuses were the colossal "queens" of a swarm, replicating other swarm robots as well as themselves, in numbers that invariably overwhelmed any enemy force. Additionally, they themselves were formidable combat machines, adept at tearing into and destroying huge enemy fortifications. They could consume biomass as fuel in the event of fuel line interdiction, and their network was virtually unbreakable" (Horizon Wiki).

The Horus Titan is a war machine that is a walking foundry, capable of producing 16 Scarabs and a single Khopesh at a time with its many fabricators, allowing it to produce its own army on the move. This proved exceptionally deadly, especially with its biomass conversion system, to end the world. As such, I have built all 17 fabricators, 16 on the tail for Corruptors/Scaravs and the 1 in the front for the Deathbringer/Khopesh.

My Horus Titan recreation has no weaponry on it and is effectively a set piece item. On the other hand, the Khopesh fabricator bay does open and the 4 drills do spin. This is only accessible through a remote control access from the outside. Using the remote control, pressing the WADS (or whatever keys you use to move) allows you to control the Horus to make it walk with your mouse allowing it to turn (albeit VERY slowly). DragoF1sh made this beautiful titan of a machine able to walk so lets all celebrate this. Please go check him out and his workshop will be linked in the credits. There is a control seat inside the titan but you must use spectator to get in.

I started this project in late 2024 and only recently finished it due to being in college. I primarily built this on a whim and wanted to test to what extent SE will allow subgridding without wanting to die. I found my answer I suppose, except I could still subgrid a vast more on the Horus and still have a stable grid.

HOWEVER, you will NEED these world settings enabled to NOT clang out:

Enable SuperGridding
Enable Share Inertia Tensor
Enable Unsafe Torques
Enable Unsafe Piston Impulses

You CAN spawn it in with damage ON but it is NOT recommended. The front drills are low to the ground and WILL cave out a hole in the planet. Fun Fact: I built the vast majority of this with damage on with next to zero clang. The vast majority of the clang I countered was that I caused by doing something stupid. The other clang was the drill arms being stupid while I was setting them up.

Statistics:
-Vanilla
-Survival Friendly? ABSOLUTELY NOT, its like 500 something subgrids.
DLCs: Yes (more or less all of them (Listed))

PCU: 219,709
Blocks: 89,096
Length: 85 LG Blocks, 212.5 Meters (From the drill trip to the end of the tail)
Mass: 8,766,182

Custom Thumbnails: Special thanks to Iteration Crunchy for helping me out here, he did the thumbnail for this build. I did the one with the Horus's coming through the fog at the tanks though. :)

I didn't bother with a interior because the Horizon Forbidden West one was so expansive, and I knew I couldn't fit that into there. Along with the Horus already being laggy as it was, I didn't want to add a few hundred more subgrids for a area very few people will actually see.

Hah! Nice work! I have previously tried to build a model but I gave up on the limbs. Although the use of heat vents and a full interior made it just a bit more nostalgic for my experience. But I do appreciate a more accurate and likely better model.

Yeah your not really wrong there.

Ok in all seriousness, is it just me or does the Horus Titan look a lot like a Reaper from Mass Effect?

"In my defense, those endangered dolphins looked really tasty." BOR-7 "HORUS"

Either spectator teleport into the main area or use the remote control to get it to walk. On page 1, number 5 it will recompile the script and allow you to start to walk it using your WSAD keys. Or go to page 2 and hit number 1 and the thing will auto walk forward. Number 2 will halt its walking if set to auto walk.

so how do you control the thing

Absolutely not unfortunately, some parts rely on DLC to function properly.

would it be possible for this to function without dlc
