Description
The Architect's Toolkit: A mod to provide Timberborn map creators with tools and QoL improvements to build and share amazing maps without limits. The objective of this mod is that players do NOT need it to play your maps created by this mod. Only creators need it.

Key Features:

- Unlimited Map Size: Create maps of any size, surpassing the default 256x256 limitation.
- Save Game as Map: Save any active game as a map and upload it to the Steam Workshop. Players can subscribe and play directly. Accessible via map-related buttons in the top-left corner (does not alter the Map Editor).
- Revert Unlocking Buildings: Decide if players should have pre-unlocked buildings. Uncheck it to keep buildings unlocked for players.
- Copy Objects: If you want to quickly make a symmetrical map, this option helps copying all objects quickly from your starting corner and mirror it to the rest of the map. You can use it with Map Resizer. To use it, in the Map Editor, bring up the Menu (Esc) and there is a "Copy objects" button in there. Note: Unfortunately, Underground Ruins and Badwater Source for some reason cannot be copied. Also Water Sources are copied but their strength is not copied.

v7.0.0:
- Compatible with Update 7. Update 6 can still use this mod at v1.0.0 but no new feature is provided unfortunately due to the difficulty of supporting both version. This mod can be used to make maps for U6 from a U7 map editor as long as you do not use any U7 features.
- Default Water Source Strength: Set the default water source strength when placing water sources in the Map Editor. This applies to both fresh and bad water sources. You can change the setting any time from the Map Editor Menu as well. Thanks to the suggestion of @Arcadaeus

Default Settings: Features are enabled by default. Disable them via the Menu -> Mods -> Settings next to the mod's name.

These maps [U7] Broken Diorama and [Scenario] The Landslide are example scenarios made by this mod.

Notes:
- Unlimited Map Size: Be cautious with larger maps. The default limit is 256x256 (65,536 tiles). A demo 1024x1024 map (1,048,576 tiles) takes minutes to load and may cause performance issues or crashes.
- Save Game as Map: Map created by this tool cannot be opened in the Map Editor (see tips below).

Scenario Map Tips:
  • Use the usual Map Editor for terrains/layouts, then start a new game to add buildings. Any save can be used to save as a map. Use DevMode (Alt + Shift + Z) to quickly build stuff.
  • Keep your normal game saves safe. Scenario maps cannot be opened in the Map Editor. Edit terrains using Dev Mode with Terrain Block, Dynamites, etc.
  • If you lose your save somehow but have the map, start a new game with that map and use it to save as a new map.
  • The user is locked to the faction/settings you started with, regardless of their new game choices.
  • Minor exploit: Flexible Start can change the start location and add extra District Centers. No fix is intended.

===
v7.1.0: Added Copy Object feature (U7 only).

Yes. Nothing in the start screen matter for the player. They can use my mod Edit Save Difficulty to change it. Unfortunately nothing can change the faction.

does this also include difficulty settings?

Glad you like it! Be aware: the starting screen does NOT work, whatever the player choose won't matter, they have to play the map with YOUR setting (when you created the save), including faction.

A small teaser in Form of The Project Names of These 3 maps i got in my head:
-drought emergancy
-save The Queen!
-bot reclamation project

-once Ur ingame Open dev Mode. If i didnt overlook anything U can do everything u could do in map Editor also Here, but Here U have also All Player building Options, a lot of Special commands U can fill storages in one click.... Best way to actually build Ur scenario freely

-when Ur done Just safe The map with top left Corner Button "save AS". This will transform The ingame map to an Editor map
-open The map with The map Editor, Just to Safe IT. Now that u saved The map in The map Editor, when someone Starts tge map He can freely choose which faction to Play and difficult Option should Work.

If i did i mistake or overlooked something in my steps pls comment IT.

Sadly i dont have AS much time AS Hype and scenario ideas at The Moment, but i plan to make and Release at least 3 scenario Maps in The next few days and weeks which will be unique challenges, i Just wonder why there arent already more crazy scenario Maps in The Workshop.

OK, after looking an hours into The Matter yesterday, i have to add a few Things:

1. Thank u Luke, Like i already Said Ur Tool is more than awesome, works super fine once u understand It and opens Up so much Potential for scenario Maps making, that in my mind If more creative people use IT We would get Like a whole new Game worth of content in scenarios.

2. They best and easiest way to use IT in my mind:
-make a map in map Editor or use a already Made map(i recommend only using map Editor for Generation Just Set Up a starting Point after it and Go on with The next step)
- start The map normally, i recommend using The greedy builders faction Mod, since IT gives u more Options to build AS map creator, every Other Option doesnt Matter

It should be fine if you use other mods but if you add stuff from those mods, the players may need them too or they won't have those content. It's hard to say which will work and which will not. That feature basically makes a save to become a map (because you cannot upload a save to Steam Workshop, only map).

Sounds Like a Game breaking tool to build scenario Maps, what a great Work.
Will Look into IT later that day.

Just one question:
Shall i disable every Other Mod when i make my map ingame, which wanna save?

Because if i understood IT right u still need to "Play" The map a Bit to fill storages . How far i know thats impossible in Vanilla dev Mode. So some Other mods might Help me save time. But will The map i make be buggesd for Others If i "Play" with mods and save IT AS map?

No please use the Map Resizer mod for it.
