Description
This is not a reference to the movie from 1903 of the same name, as a matter of fact I did not know it existed prior to picking the name for this level. It kind of happened because I realized I spelt cauldron wrong, so I looked up how to spell it, and in the process found the film with said name as well. This is all very necessary information for the description of a level and definitely gives you information that will be useful to you when playing the level. I am starting this on December 19th and whether or not it is a DAC level is very dependent on if I am able to finish it in a single weekend or not.
I might make this wall of text even longer as I work on the level who knows maybe it will be funny and slightly enjoyable or maybe it wont be at all.
Instead of bothering to rework the description at any point I am instead gonna tack onto the end of it because I think that's funny. The Unity text objects or whatever Distance uses don't have spell check so I'm sorry if that bothers you. I have also just learnt that there is an in-game cap on what text is visible so I'm actually gonna type this in notepad and paste it in when I'm done with everything. Which does mean I am going back on the previous statement of no spellcheck.
Weirdly, Camera XY and Camera XYZ seem to clip to the spawn bounds even if their velocity should push it out. What.
So I am very undecided on if I want the wall too move faster or slower. I will really just have to toy with it as I keep working on this. Depending on how it feels I suppose. Also considering how to possibly get to the other side of the wall without dying in cases like reverse tag.
I think I have all the major obstacles I want in the level now, and I'm gonna try to work with the teleporters and stuff. More or less still on track to release on Sunday or Monday.
I think I am sticking with a faster wall which, does make the level significantly harder, but also means you're spending more time moving forward. It does actively catch up to you on the outside lap.
I think I'm happy with it now. It's not perfect but when will it ever be. I did manage to significantly reduce the amount of rocks for the lavafalls so hopefully they don't lag PCs like fierce. But maybe they still will, I really don't know. Some people will probably complain that the sweeper is too fast but honestly I think that managing your speed on inner-outer is pretty fun so sucks to be them.
There are still a few sections on the track that I'd wanna add some more trickable things to if I wanted to but I think I'm at my limit of "unique things" I can think to add, and I'm also nearing like, the 10th hour in two days working on this (because I wanted it done in two days oops) and am getting kinda tired tbh. Anyways. I am happy with how it came out overall and I think I am set for release tomorrow morning.

If you read all this then, uh, congrats I guess. If you skipped to this sentence because you saw it was on a newline then no congrats for you.
