Description
An overhaul mod that tries to polish the rough edges of Androids and Androids Expanded. Includes improvements to areas such as UI, apparel, research, grammar and general fixes.

Contains mod options that disables replacing android upgrade colors.

Feature overview

UI Improvement
  • Reorganized UI - Reorganized android printing user interface.
  • New icons - Added new icons to android upgrades.

Apparel
  • Textures - Added missing textures for thermal bandages.

Research tree
  • Reorder - Reorders research tree to have improved progression.

General fixes
  • Red texture tint - Fixes the red tint for androids and droids.
  • Drone ideologies - Fixes drones having ideologies.
  • Low food alert - Fixes the food warning counting droids and drones.
  • Low medicine alert - Fixes the medicine warning counting droids and drones.
  • Droid bed claiming - Fixes droids claiming beds after injuries.

Grammar
  • Grammar improvements - Replaces all sentences with improved grammar.
  • Capitalization conventions - Decapitalizes words according to game convention.
  • Removes quotes - Removes quotes from upgrades and health conditions.

Health
  • Upgrades - Removed colors from android upgrades.

Additional patches
  • Drone printer is now stuffable, similar to Droid and Android printer.
  • Android printer shader type changed making it white, similar to Drone and Android printer.
  • Added vanilla hair colors to Android printer.

Unfortunately, the texture tint fix for androids disables upgrade skin colors.

Mod Compatibility
This mod contains a certain amount of Harmony code, that because of being written by myself, may be less than optimal for compatibility. Inform me of any issues, and I will see what I can do.

Save Compatibility
The mod is mostly compatible with existing saves, but some patches may not be applied correctly to existing droids and structures. Rebuilding them will apply the patches.

Help Wanted
If you are a C# coder and want to help, this mod could need help in improving the code beyond just being functional and to improve potential compatibility, as I myself am not a coder.

@SAPPHIRE VELVET I see that the code for that could need some improving. They unassign beds they use when done healing, but if they leave before that it stays assigned. Thanks for telling me!

@ozfresh Good question! It was a lot clearer before Steam removed all preview images from this mod (known Steam bug), but Androids has a pawn bug that tints their skin somewhat red and orange, and this mod has a fix for that.

Unfortunately, the fix I use also disables the changes in skin color that come with upgrading skin on androids. Normally their skin changes to light blue or red from this, but not with this mod.

@Dog @Crimson Talon47 I looked into it, and it's because of Big and Small Framework. I informed the author RedMattis of the issue. There is a temporary fix, but it'll cause apparel to have a worse fit until it can get an official fix.

I made a seperate patch here [www.dropbox.com]. It works only on new droids, but at least it's something. If you use dev mode and set droids body type to thin, it should also fix it for existing droids.
