Description
This is Rugen Island - a real island in Baltic sea, located in former East Germany and for most USSR citizens of DDR, CSSR or Hungary the best go-to option for seaside holidays. Welcome, comrades!

This map is in 1:3 scale to fit game dimensions, though height were kept "original" when it made sense. Map has pre-placed cities where they are including real names. Go visit Hiddensee Island, Konigsstuhl or northernmost bit of DDR - Kap Arkona!

Will you build a big harbor in Stralsund and/or Sassnitz?
Will you create your own version of "Rasende roland", turistic train between Putbus-Binz-Gohren?
Will you place oil rigs in the see on manmade islands, or will island supply be enough for you?

Welcome your first citizens and develop the island the same way (if not better) as historical comrades did!

All cities have switched off moving in of people, so you should be safe. If it doesn´t work, let me know.

Btw: This is my first map, so I only hope everything works alright.

Fox County and Montana maps/Marble county are buggy. If you landscape the map at anypoint. The map textures will be messed up and you WILL get visual artifacts all over your screen which WILL ruin your save. And there is no way of fixing it other than loading a much previous save.

I stopped using them because of that. Its just not playable

Every map in this workshop is 20x20 km. The only different ones ever made were Fox country and marble county made by lex, which were 30x30 and 60x60 km. He himself developed heavy modding scripts as an experiment and those maps were launchable, though playthrough on them had unfixable bugs/glitches. Go look at it and read more in their description ;)

can you not have a bigger heightmap and the mapo gets bigger as well? I saw a map - Murmansk I think - that was ridiculously large. It was hard to even move once over the whole map with the arropw keys

Yes, Its too bad the maps sizes are so limited. But well done on the overall design and placement of roads. its a great map honestly

In reality iti s larger, I need to scale it down 1:3 so it fits the game 20x20 limits ;)

I really like it. It is quite small, which can be challenging.
But it is a brilliant idea for an Island nation.

Yes, this is the first map. Btw those tree lines are one of many great features of terrain editor :)

This is your first map?! I have made ~ 10 and none of it has the details you have with those tree lines and Kap Arkona stairs :).

Dont know whether youre interested, but just yesterday I finished my Mecklenburg Tarfo Tower (which is actually in Vorpommern but pssst!)
